Ladies! That Kavu bag looks so fab. Im gonna have to put some further investigation into those.
Secondly, if you requested a pin from me recently (luvaluva, sugarhigh, pritch, laura) it has been put in the mail TODAY! So you should all have them in the next couple days. I love all the places that the GFT pins have reached! If we had a map with pins in it of all the states that have GFT pins, it would be pretty impressive If anyone else wants to represent GFT at Roo X, just PM me your address.

The last 2 years I used a wide-brimmed hat which was wonderful but it broke So this year I bought the hemp one from Soul-flower. I'm not sure yet if I love it or not but I will try it! The brim is enough to shade my face though, it's bigger than I thought it would be.
That hat is totally cute! My girlfriend, who is coming with us to Roo this year, bought it last week. I tried to get it yesterday but it's currently sold out Does it happen to be lined?
Nope it's not lined and it is a little rough feeling which surprised me, but it will work great for bonnaroo
AWW! You girls are totally welcome with the pins. Other ladies who requested, I'll get them to you tomorrow or on Monday
HATS: I wear a straw cowboy hat that I got in rest stop in Texas for $10. Apparently, in Austin TX, the thing to do is put pins of where you've been and what you like on your hat (I have fam in ATX who have filled me in on this tidbit)... So on my $10 straw hat, I have a billjion pins. I pare them down for Roo (so it isnt heavy) but I have rocked that hat for 4 years. It's the shizzzz. I feel cute, I dont feel like Im blocking anyones view (although I really really REEEEEEEEally want a big brim floppy hat.... so glam), and it's easy to kind of loop it on my camelbak when I dont wanna wear it. One moment, I will find a pic. ...... Here's me at ACL last year... with a corndog that was actually sausage in a pancake... yeah. i know. yum.

Thinking about getting this hat, although I'm not too keen on the $40 price tag. The shape is what I think I want though, and it doesn't look too huge like I'll block anyone behind me: www.zappos.com/product/7752465/color/16090
Oooh! Also new shoe alert! Finally got my first pair of Sanuks (Carpe DMs are on the way, these are the Scurvy style). Tried to take a picture of them, but my cat just kept getting in the way, so we'll rock the REI link: www.rei.com/product/804612

My floppy hat is by The Hat Company and I got it at Marshall's for like $10 this time last year, and there were more there last weekend here in Boston....Online, they're pretty cheap too. Mine is the "Hepburn style" sunhat...lots of cute cheap options here:

Also, I got my Teva Kayentas in the mail yesterday and I LOVE THEM!!!! Thanks for the recommendation ladies!
Wow...thanks for this website! There's a lot of cute and practical hats here! I kinda like the roll up visors...those actually seem pretty perfect for roo cuz you can roll them up and stick them in your bag when you don't want to wear it. Coco for you!

You're welcome, and thanks!! I'm looking at the fully moldable hats myself, that you can bend and shape any which way... Though, the lampshade hat in the 'novelty' section has a certain charm!!
i bought some neon blacklight lipstick and neon body paint from this website: www.directglow.com for coachella. it is awesome and very fun. the diamond FX is water activated and once it dries, you can't even feel it on your face and it stays in place, yet comes off easy. (i've been trying it out at home .)
I note on those giant floppy hats. I've never worn mine like that to a festival, but at home, it flops in my face a lot. It's also a bitch in the wind. I suggest getting a hat pin to hold the brim back.
Hey now Mizz GT - I made no such remark about your t-shirt last year! But thanks for noticing. UGA is my favorite pin. ...I take it back, I have lots of favorite pins. Anyway. I will stick to my cowboy hat for now... though the roll-up visors that sugar talks about intrigue me. I'll check them out!

I just wanted to say thanks for all of the awesome advice on here. I am a 1st timer who wishes June 9th would hurry up & get here! I'm coming with my little brother who turns 30 that week, so I would LOVE to meet some of y'all.
I just got the down low hemp hat from Soul Flower... must have gotten one of the last ones since they are sold out now... but if they do get them back in stock I highly recommend this hat. I'm not a hat person, I think I look silly in most hats but this one is adorable. Perfect size, very cute, stiff enough not to get floppy and you can bend the brim into the shape you want.
Also gave in and went to Old Navy today and got two cute dresses. Now to pace myself until June so I don't end up buying enough for three Bonnaroos.
The down low hemp hat is back in stock on the soul flower website. Seriously can't say enough good things about this hat, I love it!
I was looking at that hat and want to get it, but it looks like it would be pretty heavy and thick. Is it? Or is it pretty light weight?
It's thicker than I was expecting but it doesn't feel heavy, it's very comfortable and other than the pocket on top it isn't lined so that should allow some air flow. Won't know for sure until I have some warm weather to test it out in but I think it will work well for Bonnaroo... better than some lighter hats I've had in the past that were solid material and ended up being too hot.

And does your potentially eligible bachelor brother have any other eligible bachelor friends since Mayo gets dibs on your brother? Agreed though, definitely come to brunch!
FINALLY ordered a pair of Carpe DMs today! I had been holding out for a pair in khaki in my size... thank you Zappos!

Thanks Mayo! This thread is priceless & I so hope to meet y'all there. And yes, my brother is single & I would LOVE to be a matchmaker at Bonnaroo! He turns 30 on 6/6. He is a chef at a New Orleans style cafe in Mississippi. He's a cool guy, super nice & cute too. And how cool is it that we are both going to our 1st Roo together! I'm leaving my hubby & 3 kids at home to hang with my little brother, make some new friends, & hear some awesome music!!!
I'd love a button. Do I pm you my address? Thanks so much!!!
