Wife and I just made our first VIP ticket purchase. Honestly really solid deal in this environment ($531).
The new map does show a smaller VIP area (thankfully), but it still takes up the whole front of stage. Also, they have completely done away with GA plus. Kind of surprised by that, but a great move for GA as it opens up another elevated viewing area at the main stage. Last change is that they added a VIP sky deck at the secondary stage (essentially replacing the Monster energy deck that was capacity based).
The article in the local business journal mentions other tweaks to the layout, so I’m very interested to see those. I was skeptical of the venue going in last year, but like I said in my review - it just works.
HLs being announced Thursday. I’m pretty confident Hozier is one of them. Thinking we also get one of Olivia, Sabrina, or Chappel. The article mentioned the success of having a legacy HL last year (paraphrasing), so I’m guessing Blink 182 or the Killers for the 3rd HL.

I went last year and had a decent time so i'm excited to see what the lineup is. I was also hoping that it wouldn't be lineup waves again but I get they probably have to wait on larger fests to get announced. I upgraded to main stage VIP the last day last year and knew that If i went again I would probably just go ahead and buy the full 3 day package - that price isn't terrible.
No reliable source, but people on the 10Club forum believe it and are buying tickets based on it. Seems like a stretch to me, but I had the election wrong too
Yeah, Atlanta April 29 and 30, then Charlotte, part of a run thru neglected cities (is the rumor)
would be devastating if Shaky moves dates the one year Pearl Jam decides to play Atlanta
I was thinking maybe they moved dates because of Pearl Jam. If PJ is coming to Atlanta but for some reason you can’t get them while this new festival in Charlotte can. That might make me want to move to another weekend.
The fest just followed Kacey Musgraves. Last year they were following all the headliners prior to drop.
I didn’t include her in my initial guess (even though she’s arguably a better fit), because she will be in Charlotte for an arena stop next month. That show isn’t sold out, so booking her to HL this would be a choice.
Personally, I would be pretty happy with Kacey - PJ - Hozier. That said, Hozier was just here in April as well so it would be interesting to see how that would sell.
They are framing tomorrow as “Round 1” artists…so unsure if that means we will get HLs or a true Phase 1.
Round 1: Gwen Stefani, Dave Matthews Band and Benson Boone
Can’t believe we’re doing the artists at a time thing again 😔
Are these the headliners?
Nothing on social media says headliners, just Round 1. Would love a decent headliner and a strong enough undercard for at least a day pass, but this is a rough start.

I’m just wondering if it’s still possible for Pearl Jam to happen?

I will defer to the fan club on that, but DMB and Pearl Jam as 2/3 of the headliners here would be kind of surprising.
I bought presale last year because I live in Charlotte and was excited about having a hometown festival, but with the crappy way they treated GA they are really going to have to sell me on buying tickets again, and this first round announcement ain't it.

When did you know all of the headliners last year? How long are they going to drag out these announcements?

The first round of artists last year were announced as the headliners. Not sure yet if these are the headliners or not. But the announcements were dragged out over months. They did have some really good late additions to the undercard last year but this year I'm going to wait and see instead of buying right away
I’m pretty confident those are the HLs. DMB & Gwen feel like locks when considering other fest billing. Benson is the only one you can question, but he was just booked 3rd on his day at Coach so I’m guessing they reached there given his momentum.
That all said, wow this is the last time we ever buy pre-sale blind; hometown fest or not. I legit don’t think they could put together a worse set of HLs for my tastes.
Very much considering cancelling our layaway, hoping cancellation fee isn’t crazy. Sigh.
“Gwen Stefani and Dave Matthews Band, both Grammy-award winners, are the first two of three headliners announced for next year's festival. Benson Boone will co-headline with one of the main headliners, a representative from LLMF tells Axios”

No refund option, so if we cancel layaway we are taking a $150 bath. To rub salt in the wound, tix are literally the same price now as they were pre-sale.
