The whole getting arrested for murder thing would have made him an early vote for me.
I don't know. There's a guy in the top 10 here who deflated footballs a little bit. Rules are rules! If we penalize someone for maybe murdering someone, then we have to penalize the ball deflating thing too.

for real, they had to change the rules of the game because of how dominant he was. They had to physically move the net back to try and close down "Gretzky's office" and then moved it to it's original location after he retired.

Just catching up but I think Jerry Rice should’ve been much higher. He was consistently amazing, go look at how long into his career he put up great numbers and he did it in a time where the rules favored defenses more than they do today.
I was around during the Gretzky era and the draw back then was the fights. A lot of really cool VHS tapes with highlights on when they used to let the fights go longer.
