Also, I wonder if “goddamn” should’ve been its own entry. I know it’s a “damn” variation, but it’s treated very different by TV censors and a lot of the people I grew up around.
Always thought it funny how pretty much everywhere outside the U.S. that 'cunt' is a very venial swear tossed around so casually, while here it is like the worst thing you can say, even worse than 'fuck'.
Fuck damn shit douche dick and bitch are probably what I use most. Variations on fuck appear probably every 3rd sentence I speak if not more. If I’m in polite company I actively have to monitor what I say because it’s so habitual for me to curse (we weren’t allowed to curse at home).
My probably best swear story was my middle kid C was fishing with me and my brother and brother in law down in Golden Meadow. He was 8 or 9. He lost a redfish and gets frustrated and asks, “dad is it okay for me to curse since I’m fishing?” I go yeah what’s up. He immediately dropped fucking cocksucker and we all busted out laughing at that little motherfucker.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I studied in Paris for a year and was in a language course with all French as a second language students. Somewhere near the end of the course, the teacher figured out we didn't really know a lot swears and insults and took like 20 minutes teaching us. I don't really swear in general, so nothing really stuck though I think I have my notes somewhere.
