Agreed on both. I saw Pratt again recently at PMF and was really enamored. I definitely feel like she’s an indoor artist though. High high hopes for The Dirty Three. They still haven’t announced US dates and I’m thinking this is why.

I feel like it’s a church they’re loosing, honestly. Which one, I dunno.

I haven't seen anything happening with those overall, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything happening. There's also a possibility of something being otherwise booked, or things just not working out with a deal between Big Ears and them. I wouldn't count out the KMA just because it's so apart from everything else.

I just hope the high-priced bookings lean more towards "The Wire" than they do "NPR." I'm already 90% in for 2025, but... GAH. That's a lot of money.
$1200 is fucking crazy for 1 VIP ticket, imo. I mean, it’s gonna sell out quickly but I have to ask why. For $800 at Pitchfork I got 3 catered meals and 6 beers a day. I can’t imagine dropping that kinda cash of a festival without something more than they’re offering now. Tickets to the “separate events? Golf cart rides? I truly cannot think of anything worth that kinda scratch.
I’m sold on GA with what’s been teased. It’s gonna take some work to get me to go premiere.
Premier is pretty much as high as I’m willing to go for any festival.
Not seeing East Tennessee History Center and Southern Railway Station in the list of venues as well...
I know they used the History Center last year but pretty sure they didn’t use the railway station. That was for the big outdoor party a few years ago. I don’t see those coming back anytime soon as the weather is just unpredictable.

For the first time ever, I'm considering the "layaway" option (for the Sonic Explorer ticket). Reading the details right now, and this seems a little brutal to me (are these terms common for festival layaways?!):
IMPORTANT: If, for any reason, any of your payments are declined, in whole or in part, then all of the following will apply: (i) your order and your tickets will be cancelled (ii) any payment received as of that date will be kept by Big Ears as partial offset for your default, (iii) you will still owe the balance of the full amount due for each ticket and you authorize Front Gate and Big Ears to charge your credit card for any balance due -- bigearsfestival.org/passes/
So... if something goes wrong with a single payment (for whatever reason), I lose the ticket, but still owe the full $1250+ ?!
