falcons with the all time fumble. what in the world were they thinking?
Eagles able to stand pat and got a top CB. I dont know much about him and it seems crazy to take a MAC player at 22 but reading lots of good stuff on him so far.
Stayed up to watch the Bills pick only to watch us trade down for a pick and then trade that pick to the second round
That was a little bizarre. They and KC both need a WR and KC got that WR in the trade.
I do like that we got a third round pick, I have a feeling we knew who was on the table and would rather have had more picks than them. I could also see the Bills pivoting and picking up some defensive players rather than from the current WR pool.

I think the reasoning for Penix is that theyll never be top 10 in the draft if Cousins just performs and win the division. Along with the good possibility of losing a pick for the tampering.
He fits the scheme really well and is fast af. But he showed what he could do at the senior bowl. And I just think they couldn't go wrong with him or Arnold but Nick having the Toldeo connection mightve been the thing which pushed em that way. I still wanna know what Howie was gonna give to Miami to jump the Steelers. Cause we almost had Howie fall into the O lineman trap again I think.

Its a deep Wr draft. Take the extra picks. Usually in that spot youll get teams jumping back in late for the 5th year. Bills get to open today and have anyone they want. Or even trade down again.

2 Bama guys at corner now within a year of each other. Thats a good core.

Penix isn’t fast.
He actually had some of the best athletic numbers out of any of the QBs this year: 36.5 vertical, 10’5” broad jump. His pro-day 40 was 4.46-4.56 depending on the clocks.
I think his injury history and his propensity to camp out in the pocket has given him a reputation of being on the less athletic side.

If you didn't catch it live, Saban said he was going to be Alabama's #1 target in the portal after the season before last, but he never jumped in the portal because he wanted to finish at Toledo.

i think the falcons logic makes the pick even worse and its just them trying to put a positive spin on it to deflect. if you have big aspirations you cant be worried about your QB of the future with a top 10 picks less then 2 months after paying a QB 100M guaranteed. I love Penix but hes more of a 2nd round pick to me when you factor in everything. If all goes well with Cousins its a wasted pick with no trade value. If Cousins stinks its a waste of cap that couldve been better spent elsewhere to help the team.

You don't give your rival who constantly beats you an opportunity to get better. It was a dumb move.

21 teams let the Eagles get one of the top Db's in the draft, so whats the point? They also got Jalen Carter last year and all the crying over how the Eagles shouldnt be allowed to do this and it should be illegal is hilarious. and the Chiefs were gonna take a Wr no matter what. If the Bills didnt like either Wr then trading is the move. Who said Worthy was the type of Wr they wanted. Just cause Allen might not be able to overthrow him doesnt mean he is the right fit. And if Worthy ends up being ass then the Bills grabbing an extra pick will sit better if they got somebody that made a difference. Did the Cowboys fuck up when they let Philly move up to get Devonta Smith while they ended up with Micah Parsons?
I like our picks so far. We have a pretty great defensive backfield and will be better with a healthy Lattimore and Kool-Aid. The tackle was a nice pick too considering it was essential we address it if we want to be anything but mediocre. Buried in this my kicker nephew (160 pounds wet) got the call from tOSU to come up for a visit.

I've got to give props to my Browns for filling a need with their top (second round) pick. They took Mike Hall, Jr., a DT who went to school down the road at The Ohio State University, and happens to be a local kid. I like getting good players but I like it even more when they're good people, and I know Hall is a top notch human because I managed him at a previous job when he was still in high school. It's just nice knowing my team got a player who will continue to work his tail off and will never make headlines for any Rashee Rice/Ja Morant/Jontay Porter-type BS.
