IIRC, NOT including the time to get from home to Penn Station, you're looking at about 2:20 of total time ea. way - about an hour and 50-55 mins on the train (have to change trains in Long Branch) and then about a 20-25 minute walk to the beach.
Good to know, thanks.
I did a similar commute home from SoS last year and it was awful, but kinda worth it at the same time lol
Yeah, I did SoS two years ago but it didn't feel as bad to me, probably because the train ride is about 20 mins. shorter and you don't need to change trains, plus they did have a bus shuttle to the site. Also NJ Transit was way more crowded than Metro North.

Y'all can pay $25 a night a camp at Cheesequake state park, they are closed for the spring but should be back open come fall. It's a bit of a hike north of Asbury but if you have a car it's not a bad ride and day parking in the neighborhoods near the beach I didn't have an issue with last year even though it was a shit show.
Am I reading it correctly that VIP doesn't include any free beer? You're paying 400+ for bathrooms and sight lines I guess. Oh and "access to VIP lounges"
$400 may be a deal on the Bruce day to avoid lining up all day. VIP is usually a money grab for fests.

Decided on trying for a Bruce day ticket tomorrow, figure if I can score a ticket at the lower tier I can easily resale at face it if the plan to go doesnt come together. Two separate friends are interested too. Wil spend that Friday and Saturday in either Philly or NYC
Going to probably rent a car and I guess try to stay outside of Asbury Park instead of paying prices to stay in the city, hotel prices get really reasonable if you get 30-45 minutes out, though I'm a little scared on where to park for this fest but I guess I'll figure it out
Dynamix pricing in effect for the 33,000 SHN fest is Asbury Park - Bruce forum just started talking about it. One of the first fests to try this. Onsale will be total shiz show - Bruce fans vs. Kahan fans having a money fight.

Damn. Just was talking with friends about getting Sunday tickets, manly because of the steal of seeing Springsteen for $160. If this ends up using dynamic pricing, yuck.

The FGT site was clearly having issues with the demand, I got “504 Gateway Time-out”s + refreshed many a time but just barely checked out for 1 weekend wristband before the end of the 8 minute timer. Stoked to see Bruce in Asbury Park
Do you mean refreshing from the standby page? I am doing that on my phone, but I’m leaving my main computer up, didn’t know if refreshing puts you at the back of the line.

i just kept refreshing the main page and trying to add to cart, eventually it added 2 into mine and it worked after. the standby page wasn't showing up at all for me
That was a mess. I had a one-day vip but the page was too slow and I couldn't get through checkout. Then had a Chase 2-day and it froze up. Finally, at 10:32, got a 2-day. Only planning to go Sunday, but 288 for Trey opening for Bruce felt morally acceptable.
Damn. Had Sunday GA+ in the bag, but the cart only lasted for 30 seconds? By the time the screen unfroze I had no further luck. If anybody’s got any Sunday, I’m your man. lol

I ended up getting to a waitlist page. Added my payment info and I'll get charged if 2 tickets become available. Of course with an additional "waitlist fee."

I was told the schedule release will be closer to the actual festival this year than previously. Not sure how close they mean, but we would have had SHN and Oceans Calling schedules by now, probably Soundside/Sound on Sound as well.
Anyone know if wristbands are shipping soon? Did they ever have an approximate date or just the month?
