We just kept telling ourselves we had to make it through Wednesday and Thursday and we’d be good. It was really bad, I think the heat index was like 111 one day? Spent more time in the car with some AC pumping than I ever have at Roo.

yeah, I think that was Thurs. I live in Virginia and worked outside for 8 years and that year absolutely whooped my ass no matter how prepared I thought I was.
For those of y'all who've done RV, how's the community aspect? Is it similar to GA tent or does everyone keep to themselves a little more? Doing it this year for the first time
In my experiences with RV at Roo and other fests people tend to keep to themselves more. But that could just be a function of the larger group dynamics with RVs. Plus the way you are oriented has your doors/awnings facing the back of the RV next to you.
edit. not the back of the RV. the side opposite your neighbors doors and awnings. so each RV spot is kind of closed off to the ones around them

Damn, that's a shame, my cuzzo is coming and this'll be his first one, was hoping RV'd be just as loose as regular camping, oh well.

my results may differ from yours. people are friendly regardless, the setup compared to GA tent camping just will make you have to enter other RV camps to interact more since you aren't piled on top of each other side by side.

that's fair, what's the foot traffic like through there? Gonna do a lil take one leave one set-up I think. You're coming this year, yeah? Maybe we'll be close, we'll be in Wed AM!

take 1 leave 1 is always a fun thing to do. traffic would depend where you end up. last year ours was literally directly behind the wall at the back of the other. we were right along the main road that runs through the farm so we saw a lot of foot traffic. yeah ill be there with 12 others spread among 3 rvs. we should have a pretty nice setup. I'll be flying my flag as a landmark. I'll send you a msg with a pic of it if you wanna look for it. We'll be getting there around 6-7 Wed evening if all goes to plan(it wont).
Any tips on carrying your phone on you at Bonnaroo? I try to not bring it with me most of the time, but hard to find anyone without it.
Running belt!
I borrowed my brothers running belt last year and it worked great! Testing out a Lunchbox crossbody bag this year which has a thief resistant pocket for the phone.

Hey jaz. If you are attending this year, I hope to run into you a few times. I’m kind of all over and have lots of gaps. But I’ll be around.
Phones front pockets always. Like if somebody can jack some shit out of my front pockets that’s on me. Not tempting fate there btw. I didn’t have shit to do today so I just cooked and fucked off. Tomorrow or Monday, I’m going to go through the food options and narrow down some of the things I’m for sure going to eat. I’ll bend the type of diet I’ve been on a little and get some fried chicken - Gus and Hattie B’s. And I’ll get some of that banana vegan coffee and a pizza at rolling oven. But overall I’m going in different directions than what I would have eaten in the past and looking toward some healthier option stuff. And I’m not bringing meals only snacks. So I’ll have to work through what is available.

Apologies if this has already been covered, but does anyone know the current cicada situation in Manchester? Are they already gone, or will they be singing me to sleep each night?
