Alright listen.
I caught the last few songs of Two Friends last night.
I think until now I've been infected by the woke mob. Why the desperate avoidance of 2 goof balls playing dance remixes of popular songs? We all like weddings right? Why does dancing with your friends need to be high brow?
It just so happens that a happy house remix of September is just what the gang needs to close out Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.

I dig weddings sometimes but not always the stupid shit cover bands or djs play. 100% out for that one with the 400 Unit and particularly Joey Bada$$ conflicting. I’ll be navigating some kind of split there.

But seriously the answer is I'd rather "2 goof balls playing dance remixes of popular songs" be reserved for something like the silent disco. A happy house remix of September just isn't going to be the most memorable way to close out Bonnaroo

I don't know I never really listened to them but a couple years ago they came up and here and we were all instinctively like "fuck them I fucking hate them" I was like "hell yeah two friends sucks shit" so I just assumed they suck

they inspire the same instinct as when Fred tells the crowd thank you.

This is me but then last year I was at the Space Booty b2b Vape Child and really dug the aliens on the screens smoking fat joints.

Usually it’s a mix of suck and good. This year it’s mostly not to my tastes though the sunrise set is a certainty if I’m conscious. And if I’m not hopefully I’ll be laid out in the field.

I wish the Other and WITW had an act I have ANY interest in seeing. WITW is a pretty great setup. I’ve never even had any reason to wander over to the Other. I’ve never seen it!
Edit: Actually, I like what I’ve heard from TSHA, but I’m certainly not skipping Chappell Roan for her.
Upcoming Shows: 11/8 - Goose @ The Andrew J. Brady Center 11/13 - Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros w/ The Wolfpack & The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra @ Cincinnati Music Hall 2/14 - Alan Walker @ The Fillmore Detroit 4/15 - Ben Folds w/ The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra @ Cincinnati Music Hall

Won’t be at those shows but The Other is great. Sound, screens and boards, freaks, etc. not so much this year. Maybe Svdden Death but he’s one of the hard producers I don’t care much for. They went mostly p-a EDM this year after people whined for it. It’s all good. I’m sure I’ll probably pass by for something besides pl at some point. Speaking of which last nights show went 7:10-10:59 CDT with a couple of breaks. It was kind of a weird show so I’m expecting this one to be one way or the other - weirder or more accessible.
Should get us to the show. Update later if it’s bad.

While not at the level of your typical big EDM fest, The Other is the most impressive stage at Bonnaroo. Pristine sound and the screens are great. Hope you find a reason to check it out this year.

We came to agreement on this last couple of years.
Also shining star no matter who you are. Shining bright to see…. Loving this night 2 PL set 1. Stage is 3 large squares outer left right and in the middle. 2 50% size square screens going out from from middle and then 2 smaller ones again. What’s going to rule for this show.
Oh shit no matter how hard you try….going out 1set with Tricky. Haha. Can’t wait for second set.

A typical big EDM fest sounds like a terrible way to spend a weekend.

Doing something like EDC is a bucket list item for me but I'm fairly certain it wouldn't be my favorite scene.
Here to state the obvious- give Pretty Lights your time at Bonnaroo! Two nights at Hampton Coliseum turned me inside out and put me back together again. Night 2 especially was fucking great
