I watched a performance after people were hyping the shit out of it. It wasn't to jamcringe, but it wasn't all that for me. Would have been maybe a pass-by. I'd see him and them in the campgrounds if it was close and they did two shows.
Yeah I've seen him twice... I can't remember if either was the "come alive" bs but I found it... p good I guess?
Yeah, I didn't hate it at all. I remember posting about it just thinking it was somewhat musically lacking. Not really that anyone sucked at their instruments. The music just didn't go as far out as I wanted it to. That's not a heavy criticism like it's some lame ass commercial bullshit or whatever. But it's not good enough for me to leave PL to go see. Wait, with the new schedule there's not much conflict. after the first 15 minutes. I won't be at Eggy probably because it's back in the campgrounds and I was planning on seeing GWAR at 1 am. So there's a fairly good chance I'll see some of this show afterall.

They should have done Geese 1-2 and Eggy 2-4. That would be kinda crazy and jammier fans could actually see PL > Neil > Gwar (not jammy but who cares) > Eggy. Would be cool to have a different option than Fisher super late anyways and I feel like a decent amount of people would stay up for it.
Upcoming Shows: 11/8 - Goose @ The Andrew J. Brady Center 11/13 - Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros w/ The Wolfpack & The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra @ Cincinnati Music Hall 2/14 - Alan Walker @ The Fillmore Detroit 4/15 - Ben Folds w/ The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra @ Cincinnati Music Hall

What are people doing in the following gaps?
1. Between Say She She and the PL / Nation of Language slots.
2. Between Mdou Moctar and the Key Glock / Shy FX slot. 4 hours of nothing.
I can't harp on the early Thursday one too much... I do legitimately enjoy walking around some and there aren't really any opportunities for me to do so on Sat - Sun.
That Friday gap is insane though. Especially considering that there are 19 shows from this lineup that I'd really like to see but lose to conflicts (I can see many of them as partials, but I hate that).

this is a big dead spot for me too. I'll catch the end of Bonny Light Horseman after Mdou Moctar and then probably just grab a beer and find some shade and chill out to Gary Clark for a bit. if the which is really hot I guess i'll go see that villain faye webster. but nothing really grabbing me.

makes the interpol/JRAD conflict even worse.
I think a 2nd T3ddy F1a1r DJ set is the only thing that can save us. Or move Brunch to this time. This gap is so busted.

You can never go wrong filling your gaps with the Who stage, especially for that Thursday gap bc the Thursday Who lineup is stacked. Just wish they’d release the schedule already

Which Who Stage artists do you consider worthwhile on Thursday and Friday? I feel like its a stretch that 2 good acts will land in that 4 hour gap on Friday.

I like Japanese House, Gary Clark Jr, Grouplove and Dominic Fike a little bit. So I can make do until the Khruangbin pit.
My gap is on Saturday, before Ethel Cain at 4:30 is a wasteland. And between Sean Paul and Cigarettes After Sex is pretty bleak if you aren't into Cage the elephant or Emo music.
My friends and I were reminiscing about the 2014 lineup yesterday. Made this year's line-up look pretty rough. I'm sure the vibes and the big screens will be on point tho.

Thursday: If I stick around Centeroo, probably hang in the back for Sid Sriram and then Medium Build before Nation of Language. But realistically I'll probably go back to camp to chill since I plan on going late that night.
That Friday gap is not great, Bob. I'll probably check out a little of Gary Clark, Jr and Grouplove, but even those are 2 hours after Mdou melts our faces. I could see myself chilling between Mdou and GCJ

1. Sid Sriram was decent on Coachella stream. He was the guy who swapped out some type of traditional Indian music with R&B. I didn't love all of it, but I liked it overall. Some people like Durand Bernarr which really isn't up my alley.
2. Seen him probably too many times, but I love Gary Clark. So I'll for sure be there. Probably before that I'll go see (Alexander) Hamdi at the Other Stage and hope he drops a bunch of grime and dub and other UK type shit he is known for. With the dearth of EDM I want to see on this lineup, I'm hopeful he's going to kick at least some ass.

Yomi that Harpist, anyone?
Thursday: The Foxies - fem rock, No Doubt vibes Happy Landing - seen them twice, very fun high energy show, alt rock but with an aggressive fiddle Sawyer Hill - my favorite Who stage discovery of the year, guitar rock with a deep baritone voice Tors - brit rock with cool vocal harmonies Winyah - southern rock, they don't have a ton of music put out but seem like they could be a good time
Friday: Abby Holliday - my other favorite Who stage discovery. Great voice and unique instrumental sound that's kind of synth-y and rock-y and hard to describe Crowe Boys - country, they seem fun Dan Spencer - southern rock that leans toward hard rock Houseplant - jam band Lowdown brass band - name says it all
Plus, there were Who stage bands last year that I didn't care for when I listened on Spotify but when I wandered over to see them they ended up being great shows. With the exception of the one cover band they booked this year and a couple of artists that just aren't my cup of tea, I'm pretty excited about almost everyone on the Who lineup. I'm a big proponent of if you don't know what to do, go to the Who stage

I will say, prior to 4:30pm being bad doesn't sting that much to me because you haven't already made the journey into centeroo. With that said, I listened to the new Yer Flowers album from Friday this morning... I'll need to listen again but it seemed solid. More importantly it seemed like they would be good live for some reason. You could go to that and then roll into the Pride Parade > Pride Parade afterparty and be done just in time to get to Ethel.
In that second gap, I kinda enjoy Kasablanca. It's basically a Lane 8 clone (they have songs together and shit).

That's all I got besides gaps like y'all.
Good to know about the Hamdi, may check that out.
He's one of the potentially harder DJ's on the lineup, and he's pretty well respected. I haven't seen him live before unless maybe he was one of the openers at one of the many Tipper shows I saw in New Orleans that usually had 3 or 4 openers each night. There's a bunch of shit out there on YouTube you can check out if you want.
