Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
More seriously, I know you're sober-positive which is awesome. How are you going to do the sunrise show? Red Bull IV drip?
it will take all my bonnaroo training to pull this off lol. my plan is to get a late start on saturday and do the best i can to not expend too many calories during the day along with a steady supply of coffee in the evening. as it stands i doubt i will make it all the way to sunrise but if i could just catch a good chunk of the Saturday PL set i'll be happy. we'll see how it goes, if my body can't handle it i'll just have to accept that.
There's little chance I see more than an hour of the sunrise set. I'm 34 years old. Too old for that shit. Most of the late nights ending at 2 doesn't bother me nearly as much as it would have a decade ago. (They could sure af be spaced out better though.)
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
i'm so excited I bet post malone is going to bring out taylor swift so they can do their new single together!!!
i think this is very very likely to happen. taylor swift's new album is being PANNED by critics, she is looking down the barrel of irrelevancy. she needs the exposure a bonnaroo appearance would give her. i'm betting she'll also lead a surprse country superjam.

I only knew Post from White Iverson and some of the early singles. I heard Chemical for the first time the other day…did he make a pivot to a straight pop artist somewhere?
Went from riding black culture to a Taylor soundalike?

I think Better Now was the big pivot moment, Sunflower nail in the coffin

Except for some recent country leanings he's been pretty squarely pop rap the whole time

you really can't pigeon hole Post, sure his releases def steer one direction now a days but i really love how much he loves different music. isn't he playing a country set at Stagecoach this year? and possibly somewhere else. also if you want to see his range (range as in liking to sing diff music styles) here's some stuff to check out
correct, if i can't hear "candy paint" on the farm i don't even want to be there.
Any specific recommendations or playlists? I really only know like 3 Post Malone songs. Sunflower, Circles and Better Now.
do you really want song recommendations? i might be a closet posty fan
white iverson, big lie, go flex, money made me do it (basically the entire stoney album is a great listen), candy paint, spoil my night, stay, cooped up / return of the mack, chemical
I've largely handed the reigns over to buddies in our whole orbit of friends, but looks like there will be two semi-official events happening in our neck of the woods in Groop. A big one with a huge surprise special guest headliner on Wednesday, and then another on Friday / Saturday right after Thundercat gets done .
I got asked to DJ the Friday / Saturday event, I'm putting together a whole new set with new stuff, can't wait.

with taylor swift now making three appearances at bonnaroo, maybe somebody could reach out to Travis Kelce and see if he wants to come to the ferris wheel fist fight.

Would Travis Kelce rather fight one 15 foot tall Inforoo-er or 15 one-foot tall Inforoo-ers?
None I’ve seen. With the main schedule out earlier than usual, it may be a bit closer to the festival that the Outeroo schedule drops, when they start posting more of the details. Just speculating here.
Also it’s been a little over a week that they said the Who Stage lineup would be released “soon.” I’m thinking that’s next.

Where did they say this? Didn't see anything regarding the Who stage.

When they announced Molly Grace as the first Who Stage artist they said full Who lineup coming soon
I think the Who Stage lineup is a lot tricker than most people realize. All of the silly restriction clauses are a lot harder on bands that are still realistically only big on a local or regional level. Their side hustle in a band is often their way of making rent, and they just can't reasonably take the gamble.
There's one band I'm good friends with that got an opportunity a while back to open for one of our sub-headliners this year at the Orion here in Huntsville, and they were basically told that if they took the slot they wouldn't be able to play any gig in town for months. It would have just destroyed their everyday music income.

If there are actually clauses for all the Who Stage artists, that is the most stupid thing I've ever heard.

Speaking of those clauses, it’s gonna be really interesting to see how these new banned non compete clauses affect live events.

don't openers for major tours play roo all the time tho? i'm thinking like last summer we had Taylor Swift's openers (Paramore and MUNA). i've always wondered the actual reach of a clause esp if someone isn't the top billing. so i find it hard to believe a Who artist is struggling to book a fest they aren't officially on the lineup for and are only opening for others.
I don't know all the specific details myself, but I have talked to local-level acts who have all mostly told me the same thing. Once they get into the actual talks to play a big LN or AEG event, the contract language kind of strongarms them out of it.

damn, fuck the little guys i guess. so dumb. it's weird cuz i feel like most people discover a little guy at a fest and then go see them on their tour. people have money for both!
