Haven't heard any talk about this one but I go every year to meet up with my bff from high school. They've changed the location to a different park a bit further north, and the lineup is decidedly more house music focused than ever before. Looking forward to it despite a history of more impressive lineups.
used to attend this by either volunteering or just going last minute when i lived in the area, damn these lineups have gone in a completely different direction. still looks like a good time. how is the new location? is it still accessible from the light rail?
I love this festival, Hance Park was such a perfect location and they fit the three stages beautifully among art and good food options. A bit more of a family friendly fest but the lineups have always brought it, saw Empire of the Sun and Bon Iver in past years. This lineup is weaker than in past years and we will not be making the trip this year but excited to hear how the new location goes.
If anyone is on the fence for this one it’s a non profit festival that donates all the profits to great causes throughout the year. Highly recommend.

omg did we have any crossover? 2019 was my first.
Anyway I'm hoping the new location is good. It is still accessible by light rail but it's further from downtown. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do

I was there both of those years! I always found the main stage to be a little weak but godddd I don't know if there's a stage I love more at a city fest than the small one on the side with the layered cement/brick. Hance was great and I'm gonna miss it. Definitely in my top 3 city fests, maybe my favorite.

oh gosh, my years of going would've been ~2013 through 2016. it's been awhile so my memory is fuzzy here. i wonder if they still even do camping then?

They did camping!? Jealous, yeah never in my time.

Agreed. I distinctly remember dancing at that stage March 2 2020 before the world shut down.

ahh, we had some crossover. i was there 2013 - 2016 too!
A few tough conflicts (emo oranges vs coco & breezy, Valley vs Drama) - all in all it looks great scheduled out tho. Gonna have fun
My wife loves Duke Dumont and Gorgon City so we bought a ticket for Saturday…. Of course the one band I was excited to see Roosevelt is at the same time as Gorgon City. 😩

I'm bummed about that one too... not sure I can pass up Gorgon City tho

For the festival itself the new location is a win. I enjoyed the footprint more and it worked well logistically. However, the new location doesn’t allow you to do pre/post bar hopping/food following unless you Uber somewhere because it’s not really close to anything like Hance Park was. That would be the biggest drawback IMO.
I could see this fest grabbing Justice if CRSSD got them for their spring run.
I would guess next week. Tough to even speculate who might end up at this thing.
Confidence Man dates look promising which would be nice. I heard a rumor about Justice being back in the Spring next year and wouldn’t be surprised to see them play this and CRSSD if that’s true.
Figure this comes this week or next? They are usually not far behind Innings Fest.
Weirdly they tweeted something last night about early bird ticket sales ending monday 11/11 (would make sense that the lineup would come shortly after), but there's no where on the website to buy
Saw that tweet too. Thought it was odd when I didn't see it on IG and also nothing on their website about tickets.
Off the top of my head, have they had early bird before (without lineup)? I don't think they have but could be wrong. Lineup came out 10/20 last year ticket on sale 10/21.
My wife and I have done VIP the last couple years. Price went from $515.96 last year (tier 2) to $711.18 early bird (both with the $10 layaway fee).
We always have fun at this festival and really enjoy it, but they better have a lot better than Lane 8 and Dominic Fike (we went to Elderbrook) ending the night for those prices. Justice (mentioned earlier) would be awesome

I’m really hoping that the lineup last year was a reset with the new location and coming out of the pandemic and not a reflection of lineups to come in the future.
