i feel like we would know definitively if they were out. The email said no more us tour dates, not no more us shows, making me think that’s their only full tour, but they may have one off festival dates throughout the year
just read the email and it specifically says only us tour run

this was known before the reports of them being in for Roo came in from however many sources have said they’re gonna be in. Don’t think this will change anything since it’s likely as much as they can say about their standalone tour without spoiling any potential festival appearances due to NDAs or whatever else.
good to know. They said they got an email from Gizz announcing a new album and saying no 2025 US dates. I hope they are there more than any other band honestly. Just repeating what I was just told over there.
i mean they are literally playing their own festival in Colorado in 2025
I do think if they Payed extra for Gizz to make a special stop in America after their european tour, they probably booked 2 days.
Im guessing it is: Friday-Marathon LN Which Saturday-Rave set, sunrise Other
And if they got really frisky Sunday:Acoustic That Tent (but I doubt it)
As much as I’d be down for The Silver Cord in full on the Other. I think an Acoustic set on the What during sunset would be more likely and a better booking. Feel like they’d be able to play a shorter set on the main then still do a late night Which marathon set the day before or after. They’ve just done more acoustic sets than their experimental rave set is all and would be more entertaining. Plus I’d like to finally see them hopefully play Fishing For Fishies for the first time ever or some acoustic debut of something normally heavy.

I know that. That’s why they are saying no other US tour dates, because of those initial dates.
Going to become a full time Olivia defender I think. “deja vu” is such a good song.
ngl her entire discography is bangin…. no skips for me
4 of them that I really like are 'Brutal', 'Good 4 U', 'all-american bitch' and 'blade of a home-schooled girl'. Wouldn't mind at all hearing those, plus 'deja vu' and others.
I feel like they’d do what they did with MMJ and put them for 2 hours on the schedule, but really they have 3 hours planned, so it can be a talking point of “Gizz played way over their set”
that doesn’t really work with a sunrise set, unless they play until like 7 in the morning. Like MMJ’s time over made sense because it was at the end, but a sunrise set should probably definitely end around a certain time
Speaking of Desiigner, what one hit wonder from 5+ years ago would you enjoy seeing? 3OH!3 is my vote
For me (and this would be from 2011 thru 2019): Band of Skulls, The Kooks, The Rubens, Allah-Las, The Growlers, WELLES, Southern Avenue and Republican Hair
1) Gizz definitely has money, but their margins are smaller than one would think. They've even said as such in interviews. Plus they're a 6 piece. You know who does have money? LiveNation 2) Money aside, Gizz still hasn't peaked. I genuinely think they're on their way to headlining more fests. Festival appearances are great for publicity. You never know who'll be swayed into being a fan. 3) Gizz is the type of band to do it for the fans and I have no doubt they're highly requested. They streamed their whole last tour at a loss. Yeah, they gained lifelong fans, but still. Its an expensive crazy risk for them. The type of thing they do *for the fans* 4) this is a bit of a stretch, but it's possible they got booked to festivals *after* sending that email out. It'd suck to get almost booked for fests, say "oh we've got more coming up too!" (IF they even can) and then go "whoopsie daisy"
As much as I want and love Gizz, it's possible they don't make the lineup. But I wouldn't rule them out just based on an the email even if we didn't have this rumor.

Welles is good, his folk stuff is really taking off
Seeing Mt. Joy at a 500 cap venue pre pandemic maybe my biggest “saw them before they’re famous” story, and I’m not sure how I feel about that.
I saw jack Harlow open up for Portugal the man in (I think) 2018. He was almost tearing up because some folks in the crowd knew the words to his songs. I don’t love all his music but seemed like a nice, humble guy at the time

Jack Harlow falls in the camp of “person who I think has terrible music but is funny / seems to be genuinely nice so I feel bad for not liking their music”
Person on Reddit that told me no more 2025 dates for Gizz is saying he interviewed Lucas and they said no and that they’ll be back to ATL and rest of the US in 2026.

Also saw Jack Harlow open up for Portugal The Man on that tour.
I saw Lizzo open up for Sleater-Kinney in 2015.
Julien Baker in a 140-person room where there was maybe 20 people all sitting in Jan 2016 right after Sprained Ankle was released was maybe my favorite of these.
Also saw Phoebe Bridgers open up for Conor Oberst the week before Stranger in the Alps came out in 2017, which was pretty great.
Sticking with the Boygenius theme, I saw Lucy Dacus on the smallest stage at Lollapalooza in 2016.
Halsey early in the day at Boston Calling 2015 also feels appropriate. Same with Tove Lo.

this could be me coping but NDAs would realistically stop him from saying anything about unannounced dates, especially if its a festival
