Noah Kahan still has that gap in his tour for Chicago. I dont see how they dont double up with him and Hozier.
Noah is playing Osheaga Friday and Hinterland Sunday. So he could fit in Thursday and go Chicago > Montreal > Iowa in one weekend (doesn't make a lot of sense imo) or he could fit Saturday and then he has to go Montreal > Chicago > Iowa for 3 shows in 3 days. This is on top of having already played Lolla last year. I would bet a lot of money it's not happening. His Alpine Valley show is close enough to Chicago, some artists just opt to do that venue in place of a WI and IL stop.
I haven't had my finger on the pulse lately - how do the Kpop days at Lolla usually sell and how well do the headliners draw?
I keep reading about this Stray Kids group and after I get over my disappointment of it not being Brian Setzer affiliated it just seems very Lolla-y.
Idk about the headliners but NewJeans almost certainly had the biggest crowd of any non headliner at the festival.
Think Noah had them beat, but Lolla has definitely brought in a lot of sales with the sprinkling of k-pop the past few years. Lots of people attending just for those acts.

Yeah, no reason to book Noah back-to-back years -- especially without a new album in the mix.
With how Suenos only took one week to sell out, I think they will definitely lean more into Latin just like Coachella. Kpop is huge though too. I went with my roommate to a Blackpink show and and it was also the most diverse crowd I've seen
Who are the other HL sized options who are available? I know Balvin has played before. Getting another Latin artist seems likely I just couldn't even tell you who's big enough these days.
I'm all in for the scorned Sharika revenge HL set tho
Hard to say since Suenos has at least 4 names that could have been top 8 and the other obvious choices are touring. Bunny is probably to big for lolla, coachella was probably a one and done thing.
With country being so popular these days maybe Grupo Frontera at Bud Light or another Banda.
Rock wise, Mana and they are doing a few multigenre fests so could be them. Cuco showed up on a few fests this year too but idk if he's top 8 at this point. Only other act that might be there would be Grupo Fureza which would be fun af

I know it's in alphabetical order but its still good to see that Shaq has made it to the top line of stadium sized 3 day EDM fests. A true renaissance man.
If Guns N’ Roses new album is coming out sometime this year, they could be a great selection as this years legacy rock act. I was surprised to see that they never played this fest since they reunited in 2016…
Any shot Tool would play Lolla? It’s been 15+ years and they’ve hit a few other multi-genre fests. They also have no Chicago date for this pretty extensive tour that started last year. Riot Fest makes more sense as a “fit” but that’s never seemed to work out.
Edit: just noticed they’re overseas over the summer as well but wrap up the week before Lolla.

Would they play lolla? Yes, they have before and I don't see why the wouldn't again since they did Bonnaroo and a few other multi genre fests. I'm not betting on them this year though for Lolla.
I don't see Lolla bringing them back. These days "legacy" headliners are bands like Green Day, Metallica, RHCP who have more mainstream appeal than a band like Tool.

Highly doubt it. They can't come cheap and don't fit the modern Lolla demo anymore.
Something like Riot Fest would seem like a cleaner fit.

Lolla is almost certainly that weekend from everything we know so far. Would be an interesting get. They played Coachella and Roo like 15 years ago and seem to have made a little EU fest push last year.

Gotcha. In all reality it could be they’re having a hard time firming up a venue because of night shows vs actually playing the festival.

They've played the Old Town School of Folk Music, a venue that doesn't host Lolla aftershows, a lot in the past including last year. I think that's almost certainly a Lolla date.
I don't know who's going to pull the trigger first, but Katy Perry is booked for Rock in Rio in September and she sold too many albums to not make her way to the US fest scene at some point. I don't know if late 00s nostalgia is a thing yet, but it's eventually going to happen.
