First thing I would do is legalize marijuana. Then I'd make the rich pay taxes out their ass. Term limits and age limits. I only want this job for 4 years. Then I'd go after big business and big Pharma. As far as Israel goes, I'd tell them good luck. No aid for Palestine and recognition as a state, no weapons.

I'm still confused about whether the explosion killed hundreds, as he says here, or just hit a parking lot and killed less than a hundred, which has been the contention of many saying it was a misfire.

Shaun King must be stopped. This time he’s trying to put himself in the middle of this conflict with claims he’s helping release hostages and working behind the scenes on a ceasefire. Basically he claimed he knew the family of the hostages who were released and said he worked on getting them out. A reporter asked them and they had no idea who he was.

I really did find it quite funny but it's not so funny now. Apparently King associating himself with the two woman has drawn suspicion from some Israeli conspiracy types and they don't feel very safe. Which he spoke about while posting and posting about it like the narcissist he is.
Shaun King was bad ass at Tulane. I think they ended up #7 because they played in the Liberty Bowl due to prior commitments. I don’t like that he played for the Succaneers but I never hated on him directly. /sorry

Well, we know the IDF was telling the truth about one thing. They said bombing would intensify this weekend and they are bombing the shit out of the place for real. Also bombed Damascus, Aleppo, and smaller targets in Lebanon. Accidently injured some Egyptian soldiers with tank fire on the border. AND, The West Bank got some air strike action last night.
No idea what Hamas' grand plan was. But Israel's response is playing right into their hands. Plus, I've never seen the Palestinian cause get anywhere near this kind of worldwide support. To be clear, that wouldn't be the case without Israel genocidal response. I'm in no way saying it justifies Hamas' attack, which they knew would result in the loss of plenty of Palestinian civilians as well. But it's pretty clear that the political costs for Israel are significant already and they haven't even sent in troops yet.

Well, I don't think many people are choosing Hamas' side but I get your point.
What's bad is the vast majority of Palestinians are pretty much fucked either way. Israel can't really "wipe out" Hamas, at least without a drawn out urban war. Which is something that isn't as easy as their cheerleaders seem to think. The IDF will get shredded in ground combat. Which will very quickly turn into full asymmetric war with civilians taking up arms all over the strip. They have high tech intel on their side or I doubt they'd have much of a chance to hold all of Gaza. BUT to get to that stage so many people will have to die. I'm just not sure the humanitarian cost can be beared without massive public outcry in the rest of Middle East. Plus, I doubt Hezbollah stays out.
Watching all this are close to 2 million people with nowhere to escape to. The further south Israel gets into Gaza the more the survivors are going to get bombed again. Israel will always claim Hamas is among them. They are just fucked. I'm sure Israel would still love for the US to get Egypt to take the refugees but that seems very unlikely. I don't see how Israel threads this needle diplomatically. At least to do what they claim they want to do.
But honestly, Israel's actions seem much more focused towards getting rid of as many Palestinians as they can and likely partition part of the strip. So Pale Horse might be right. They might not do a full ground invasion. They might just bomb North Gaza until it's a moonscape. Bomb "targets" until they feel Hamas' leadership and capabilities are set back. Then set up new boundaries for the survivors.

I read it as US just chest thumping for now, as a deterrent. On the other hand Israel isn’t changing tactics. They will keep this absurd shit going as is. Regional conflict likely.
