Forgot to post my highlight from yesterday and what may have been the most quintessential Newport experience for me yesterday:
An older, drunk, white woman was rolling around on the ground when Killer Mike started a “F*** Ronald Reagan” chant. She immediately perked up in outrage and started shouting how Reagan was the best president ever and flicking off Killer Mike.

Gillian Dave was perfect for me, set of the weekend so far. Absolutely gorgeous set of music. It’s the kind of thing I’m looking for In a folk headliner. As someone who’s been politically lethargic for a couple of years, Billy Bragg’s set, paired with Dave and Gillian “This Land is your land” did something for my mental state. I feel lighter.
So far I’m 2/2 days shedding tears at a set. Let’s see what day 3 has got
