This is a safe space to post your boomer/Gen-X/millenial-ass takes. So go ahead, say whatever deranged, out-of-touch thoughts percolate to the front of your decrepit, dementia-addled brain.*
*If you post any bigoted nonsense i will doxx you.

I'll start: people who refer to any electronic music event (festivals, big room concerts, club shows etc) as "raves" are sick and wrong. Going to see Odesza at Red Rocks is not going to a rave, grow up.
Whenever someone in a customer service job (like retail or a restaurant) has an air pod in I can't take them or the place I'm at seriously. I understand wanting to listen to your music or podcast at work, but I just can't get over the feeling you're not really all there in this interaction. It's become so normal and it's kind of wild that so many managers let their employees do this?
Most new rappers are garbage. There are probably less than 10 that I like in the last 15 years.
That’s because actual microphone skill has been hugely devalued compared to goofing around on stage and occasionally saying “uh” and “yeah” and “skeert” over a backing track.
And it’s been terrible for live music because artists break there and then get spit out into the festival circuit with, like, five total songs that are two minutes long each and no stage experience whatsoever.
that would be severely disappointing to the way more diverse audience. but you do you
edit: to be specific I've been going since 07. I have seen 3 WSP, at least 4 Phish Show, Disco Biscuits, SCI, and Umprhey's and a sludge of jam bands but I don't think that "reversing" is the way to go

how often does this actually happen
I'm sorry sir this is the crabby old person thread. Youth and coherent arguments have no place here.

People are way too lax with their dogs. You wouldn't let your teenager jump all over someone and say "oh he's just like that, he's not mean " so why can you do it with an emasculated wolf
