I'm cautiously optimistic about the parking situation this year. The paved lots are all preferred, the golf course is all GA, and clubhouse is on the other side. If my theory is correct, preferred will route directly to the paved lots (turn right) and GA will route through the hills/neighborhood (turn left) giving each their own dedicated entrance and exit routes.
I have a friend going this year and she wants to park so skipping the shuttle and I'm hoping it's not a mess lol

Favorite set: Placebo. What a great 10 song set. Would have loved another couple songs but they sounded great and I hadn't seen them since like 2007.
Best set: Interpol. Another act that just played what the crowd wanted and they sounded great.
Coolest set: Tones on Tail. Good god, was that set a vibe. Kevin's daughter Diva is really coming into her own on bass. Fits in perfectly with both Poptone and now Tones on Tail. First show since 1984 and my chase to see every incarnation of Daniel, David, and Kevin is nearing completion. Poptone next year, right?
Ministry was something else, a little schizophrenic energy but hearing those old songs in new ways was great. Had to leave a little early but heard the rest of the set while walking. I'm definitely more of a fan of the With Symmetry stuff and the "ministry-ettes" and "minis-strings" added so much. I'm definitely in the "make ministry synthpop again" crowd though.
Gary Numan sounded great and it was neat bringing his daughters out for the vocals on Conversation
The Faint into Gary Numan into Ministry worked perfectly.
As for logistics, i think they finally figured out parking. Having VIP and GA use completely different entrance and exit routes made getting in and out a breeze even after the headliners finished. I couldn't believe we just drove right out of the lot without any lines. It head to be pretty close to a sell out and it was crowded after 5 but never really waited in any lines more than a couple minutes.

Been eyeing this festival for some time now, and my wife and I really wanted to go this year, but we'll be keeping an eye on next year's, so hope it's a good one! When it comes to stuff we'd want to see, we sat down and came up with a little list together.
my bloody valentine Nine Inch Nails The Cure New Order Fever Ray Violent Femmes Depeche Mode HEALTH Porches Team Sleep Xiu Xiu Kim Gordon Class Actress Wild Nothing M83 Mareux Geographer Mr. Twin Sister Nitzer Ebb Grave Babies Purity Ring
Though, I think both DM and NIN might not be touring in the near future. I think that the 2023 tour was the last big one for Depeche Mode for a while, and Trent is really busy with his movie score work and some new business ventures that he has yet to really reveal more about … (a music festival, fashion line …)
Would love to be wrong, though as those are big gets! I was really hoping for the Cure, but looks like they won't be doing any touring until the fall of next year. Nick Cave is another one who possibly lines up schedule-wise.
Do the Misfits seem too out of place for this fest?
Any chance for Skunk Anansie? Can't even find any info if they ever played in the US.
Dont think theyve ever played the u.s. They have some uk tour dates in April though.
NIN is gonna be doing something next year but I dont think itll be Cruel World. DM is essentially done. Dont know why you would think they would play a 30,000 cap fest when they would sell out The Rose Bowl again if they said its a farewell show.
So we think Friday is the day? Really excited to see what's in store. This is the time I start to get excited for festival seasons and start getting trips ready in my head, haha.

Yeah, it seems like Trent and Atticus have something up their sleeve for their own festival and where they might even do a live debut of their score work under their own names. And agreed, on DM. Moreso if they felt like doing some festival gigs next year, I could've seen them in there ... but yes, they could basically sell out the Rose Bowl on their own. As could a lot of those names on my list.

No. Just them. The Cure if they had 5 other supprt acts and it was cheap. Who knows on lineup drop, if theres a tease then ok. But Gv announced Cali Vibes and they dont overlap their own events. Theres been a lot of stuff with the trent and atticus festival thing but might have been pushed to the wayside in favor of just playing NIN shows for now.
