I only did last night, but just saw that they moved the entire Columbus schedule up by almost three hours (and shortened a couple sets) anticipating severe weather. Foushee: 2:50-3:20 Toro y Moi: 3:40-4:20 James Blake: 4:50-5:50 Steve Lacy: 6:30-8:00

Damn, all THREE cities shuffled now. L'Rain knocked off the bill in Chicago with the show starting at 5 now, Nashville moved forward on a similar timeline to Columbus Bartees Strange 3:15-3:55 Dijon 4:15-5:05 Clairo 5:35-6:35 boygenius 7:15-8:45

Where are you seeing those times for Nashville? Site still shows regular schedule although it does say doors moved up to 230.
Anybody have insight on what’s allowed inside the Chicago venue. Are small backpacks allowed?
Nashville said no backpacks. Then I saw a ton of backpacks. Just don't bring in a metal water bottle. Mine got confiscated because evidently I might kill someone with it.
And I thought the boygenius day made me feel old...
Lol. One of my nieces I ran into just had her 16th birthday party Friday night, and that show was two weeks ago here. She and her sister and their hippie friend are working on a band but I haven’t heard them yet. I hooked her up with some cash and told her about Bonnaroo. She was most blown away that I saw Jacob and asked if he did the audience chorus. Haha. They went mostly for Clairo but they dig boygenius. To the point about feeling old, haha yeah. But it was a pretty unique crowd that day. I went with my daughter, and the crowd was way majority female of all stripes which the dad in me appreciated.

I have my drawstring bag with me with multiple hats I got at the pride parade. I will be devastated if I have to throw out my novelty sunglssases just to get in.
About to leave Iowa for the WINDY CITY! Just glad we are missing the majority of the precipitation. I'll be lurking around Riis in an Explosions in the Sky shirt, Iowa Brewing Co. jacket, and Kum & Go® Kum & Stay Vibe Lounge bucket hat. V excite!
I think I should just give up trying to "get" IDLES, a lot of elements I should like but the aggregate doesn't work for me at all
See, I get Idles and don't get Jamie xx.
1st day was frustrating. Drove around for more than an hour looking for parking garage I could have sworn was there. Missed L'Rain because of it. Eventually figured out I could snag street parking across the street from that Hometown Suites place you mentioned in front of Vanderbilt. Yesterday and today was a breeze. Thank you for your help, hope I didn't come across as unappreciative.
Chi has been a bit of a cluster so far? I mean, I get moving back the gates an hour to accommodate one less band, but they (accidentally?) let us through security before the ticket scanning people were ready. A group of us are now just hanging out in limbo between the tents listening to the DJ, not officially in the fest yet. IDLES supposed to take the stage in 30. And I thought they would have this down by day three!
As I was typing this, I overhead that a bunch of the fences have blown down and they are trying to prevent the domino effect of more falling...

Not the novelty sunglasses! I came home and dropped off my swag. Will be driving out shortly. Will have light up suspenders say hi if you see me

Please keeps us up to date on if you make it in with the novelty sunglasses.

Pleased to report the sunglasses made it in and even better I did not wear them once.

Thoughts on this now that it's over? Good, bad? Fun little way to spend a weekend. I bought my tickets for face when the lineup first came out and feel like I mostly got my money's worth, though the Steve Lacy day could have used a little more pop. Not sure if this comes back due to the issues with slow sales and weather, or maybe they change up some of the cities. Nashville, sadly, felt very under attended other than boygenius day. Any thoughts on potential lineups for next year are welcome too. I think a day with Rosalia could make absolute bank.

Really enjoyed it. Stayed in an Airbnb in Columbus. Met up with another couple each day. We all loved it and felt like the lineup (headliners and undercard) were uniquely tailored for us. Seemed like the boygenius day sold really well. Up front for LCD and loved every minute of it. Sunday was great, but didn't seem to need to be moved up (though I get the precautions based on weather and stuff; the storm just never came). Price was fine. Food was fine. Bathrooms were clean. Would need a good lineup but would definitely do this again. Some of our hopes and predictions in included Vampire Weekend, Robyn, Denzel Curry, Julia Jacklin, and a bunch of stuff I can't remember right now. The right lineup will definitely get us back next year if it happens again. Hoping for better weather for everybody.
It's almost certainly not coming back, but if it were more successful I think this probably would have been a great way to get euro headliners like Blur or Chems to do more extensive US tours, subsidized by two more popular/relevant headliners. But pop relevancy is fleeting as a lot of people said the Steve Lacy days were super empty. I do wish my one day wasn't rained out but I was more interested in seeing the new venue having already seen LCD and planning to see Jamie XX this fall

This is a great point too, although they'd have to grow quite a bit to make it viable for names like Chem Bros, etc. The best we can hope for is they see the Steve Lacy day as just a one off miscalculation and work on improving the game plan if they decide to give it another shot.
I could seem them maybe doing it again with limited dates. Seems like the LCD and Boygenius days sold well enough in the bigger markets. Might also just depend on what acts are available at the time.

Only went the one day for LCD Soundsystem in Columbus. I paid full price at the onsale, and while it would've been nice to pay the Groupon price, I absolutely got my money's worth. I liked the format--a couple of major acts who rarely play Ohio, two more to round out the day, but it didn't feel like going all-in for a city fest. I would go again, maybe even for multiple days, if they brought it back or played with the formula a bit.

I only went for Sunday for LCD Soundsystem. I bought my tickets the morning of on stubhub and found a pair for 155 total with fees so lucked out with a good deal. Got there right when the rain hit so hid under the ticket check in area until it passed. Thank you to the ticket guys for letting us stay under there until it was over. Saw many people leaving the festival while it was coming down.
The Festival had a nice small layout and didn't seem packed at all. Bathrooms were pretty clean and found the lines were smaller at the bathrooms closer to the entrance. Food options seemed ok and half way through LCD Soundsystem they were selling whole pizzas for 9 bucks which was nice for food on the way home. Got a bit chilly due to the rain but otherwise wasn't too bad. Over all I had fun and enjoyed the energy of the crowd. Dancing under the rain during Jamie XX was great and brought back memories of seeing his set at Coachella. Nice touch to have the rainbow come out during his set as well.
some quick notes
bummed all of the LCD merch was gone by the time I got there besides one old shirt Location was too far for public transportation so I drove. Found parking a few blocks from the fest Security was really lax and didn't even check my bag or my water bottles Would go back if closer to the city
If it comes back they need to move it Union Park in Chicago. Riis park was pretty but having to take an hour long bus ride since it's not near any L stops was annoying. Also no refill stations was bad and i'm sure it played a factor in people passing out at Boygenius. I had a fun time though and could see it coming back but just in fewer markets next year.
Due to the delays in Chicago on Sunday, I don't feel like I really got to experience any of Riis/the fest itself outside of the bands. Just had enough time to use to portos, stuff $25 of food in my face, and post up on the center rail before IDLES began (on time). Pretty standard set. Best parts were during the rain IMO. And of course when LCD came out to play Rottweiler! Smart move by Re:SET/Jamie to move his set off the main stage so that it could dry out for all the LCD bells and whistles. Him playing in the middle of GA felt kinda boilerroomy, though it sounded goofy having the sound still coming from the stage BEHIND us. I was pretty anxious the whole afternoon, thinking they could pull the plug and evacuate us any second, but that finally dissipated when LCD took the stage 5 min early. Incredible set! Dev from Idles came out to play on a song as well as Bob Weston from Shellac. All in all, satisfied with my Re:SET experience, but going again in the future would be very lineup dependent.
