Tracy Byrd and Paul Cauthen conflict is brutal. I'm glad I'm not going and don't have to decide between the "Watermelon Crawl" and "Cocaine Country Dancing"
also my press request got approved for this and i also might be interviewing the two people who booked this. will keep y'all posted on what i end up getting to do!

hope the undercard is a little better next year, a lot of the country fests in other parts of the country killed it on that but I thought Two Step was a little light. Granted, some of these names are probably more expensive in Texas than in the other places they booked
anyway, some personal wishlist stuff for me that feels realisticish for them to book headliner level- Turnpike Troubadours, Billy Strings, Jason Isbell, Wilco, Sturgill Simpson (Sturgill is the pipe dream pick) undercard- Colter Wall, Charley Crockett, Flatland Cavalry, 49 Winchester, Vincent Neil Emerson, Mighty Poplar, Trampled by Turtles, Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, Band of Horses, Shane Smith and the Saints, Watchhouse, Tanner Usrey, JR Carroll, Bella White, Sierra Ferrell, Kitchen Dwellers
give me just like, 25% of this list and I'm trying to be there
i think my biggest want is some more texas country. charlie robison, kaitlin butts, and paul cauthen had pretty big and loud crowds. i think having any of cody johnson, parker mccollum, turnpike, cody jinks, and/or koe would be slam dunks whether headlining or in the undercard
Undercard wishlist: Lainey Wilson, Parker McCollum, Morgan Wade, Turnpike, Isbell, Shane Smith, Flatland Cavalry, 49 Winchester, Megan Moroney, American Aquarium, Kat Hasty, The Wilder Blue

I feel like Parker and Turnpike are definitely headlining this fest in Texas
they probably would but i know this fest could definitely be more interesting than having that. maybe if they go big and grab kacey/b&d/stapleton/eric church, they go cheaper and do that for the other headliner. just some unrealistic hope since i don’t even know how to speculate for this fest.

I feel like they nabbed both Zach and Tyler at perfect times, Zach got booked on a couple smaller festivals this year probably before they realized how high demand for him would be and Tyler's tour was like ~5000 person venues. I think both would cost a lot more to book next year, demand was higher than anticipated, but I bet they got good deals on both of them for when they booked. I feel like Turnpike and Parker are probably in line with how much those two cost.
I don't know how big the fest felt but my thought is they'd need to expand it a bit to go a tier up on the headliners. Like Zach is in that tier now but I don't think he was when they booked him
that being said I'd love Kacey, I don't feel like she played Texas enough. She skipped Houston entirely and that made me sad. All we got was ACL and one Dallas show (which sold out)
bailey zimmerman is probably locked in for this. doing houston and irving the weekend before and is free until mid may when he goes to europe. not off to a hot start.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol

Considering he seems to be hitting the country fest circuit this year and already has a relationship with C3, wouldn't be surprised if Billy Strings is a headliner or top sub
could also just do Texas dates around that show he just announced, but he's gone out of his way with festivals for one offs before
Deana Carter has a TBA date for 4/20 in Austin on her tour poster so we can go ahead and lock her in. Glad we're keeping the 90s/2000s one hit wonder bookings going.
as far as people i’ve never seen before/haven’t seen in a minute go, hoping 49 winchester, muscadine bloodline, brent cobb, and sierra ferrell make it on this thing
