DATES: Oct. 12-15, 2023 Venue: Lake Perris/Moreno Beach, CA
So here we are, the start of the 2023 thread for Daze 2023. Presale looks to go down this week, per their social media pages.
As always, this top post will be periodically updated as news rolls in from Phil & Co.
Potentials: Queens of the Stone Age The Mars Volta Slowdive Explosions In The Sky Melody's Echo Chamber Osees Blonde Redhead Viagra Boys WITCH Boris Melvins All Them Witches Amyl and the Sniffers Frankie and the Witch Fingers Allah-Las Wine Lips Alan Palomo (Neon Indian) Jjuujjuu Death Valley Girls LA Witch
Out: PJ Harvey The Black Angels Dandy Warhols King Krule Youth Lagoon Thundercat Devendra Banhart Little Dragon Weyes Blood George Clanton
So like, what are the odds of QOTSA? If y'all think they're 70+%, I might pull the trigger on the presale
The argument for presale was this: It's $99 which is less than the cost of a single day in 2021 or even this year. If you dont like the lineup then sell your ticket. Still getting incredible value for the price point instead of waiting 6 months and paying triple for no reason. Also, inflation, recession etc, save your bucks where you can.

yeah but I live in Alabama. I'm not gonna buy a ticket to resell unless I think I'm actually buying it for a reason
I'm thinking it won't be $99 again...maybe $149? We'll find out tomorrow, along with the fest dates probably.
Yea you’re probably right, I fucked around and bought a new bridge and strings for my bass so for the sake of my bank account I’m hoping for $99. But I’m buying either way.
They said they’ll have VIP presale too.. Was VIP worth it this past year? deadbob
VIP was def worth it Fri/Sat, not sure I would pay the standard VIP price though. If they did a discount VIP for early bird purchase like this year I'd jump on it again
They had an upgrade push on Sat and things definitely felt more crowded on Sunday. We totally enjoyed having the chairs & umbrellas on the beach in the afternoons.
It would be interesting to see if the same thing happens next year. I'll likely be living vicariously through these threads the next year or two as other travel plans are likely gonna prevent me from going for a couple years.

"In 2023, we'll have a new rideshare location with reliable cell reception, additional trams, alternating set times at all neighboring stages, more ticket type options for camping locations and accommodations, and of course more art and music.
All Add-Ons will be available soon, including Car Camping, RV Camping, Airstream, RV and Stout Tent Rentals, plus new options for designated camping areas. These make perfect gifts for the holidaze, so grab your weekend and camping passes now and literally add these on later."

Great about the cell reception for non-campers, but the ticket type option for camping locations has me worried. I'm thinking they're gonna charge a fee to camp closer to the venue. I hope I'm wrong

I definitely plan to get to lake perris WAY earlier than 2 next year. pretty sure everyone's going to have the same plan though. hopefully it doesn't turn into coachella where people line up at 3am... saw like 3 people on reddit post that they were "the first ones there" and I just shook my head -- but who's laughing now, I guess, huh?
