My email came at 1:03. Went in for 4 3 days (which I am kicking myself over since the other two people are out.) the reports that tickets are being released and unclaimed are killing me, and the fact that transfers give no incentive to return tickets last minute is killing me even more. Oh well. I’m an old enough Red Sox fan to go back to that pre-2004 mantra: there’s always next year.
Message them on Instagram (their webform does not get response in my experience.)
Explain to them you need to decrease your ticket request from 4 to 2 (or however many) but that you don’t want to lose your metaphorical spot in line. And ask if there’s a way to reduce the requested amount without going to the back of the 2-ticket line.
I did exactly that (well from 3 tix to 2) yesterday. They advised me to reduce the number in my request and then let them know and they’d “boost” me. I thanked them after they “boosted” me and I had an offer within the hour (58 minutes).
I believe another member on here did it as well yesterday and had success as well. I know others on other boards have too.

Same here regarding Dice contact. My brother-in-law and I have each emailed them via the app and DM'ed on social media (similar circumstances - email confirmations of 1:01 and 1:04 respectively for a single 3 day ticket, and 1:02 for Sat/Sun). No response as of yet.
If anyone gets "stuck" with a ticket that doesn't sell by the deadline, I'd be interested in purchasing via Dice transfer. I'm in Nick's group(s) and have been coming to the fest since 2011.
I also have 4 piano recital 2 (Saturday) tickets to trade if that is of more interest than the funds.

However, you can easily change the number of tickets you're in line for by visiting the event page in-app. You'll just need to hit 'You're in line', and select 'change amount of tickets'.
We're not permitted to disclose exact information regarding your spot on the Waiting List, but what we can say is that you’re more likely to be offered tickets if you only want 1-2.

I did not get the boost response but rather a “good luck to you” response. Been several hours and nothing. Think you may have sapped what good will they had to give.

I don’t recall the same guy working the door last year as in years past, but typically the Blues Cafe is happy to let people in with cash - though they have to wait off to the side until the actual line is cleared

Agree with this. Last year was a noticeable comfort in the crowd.
Hi folks! It's been a minute, I'm just popping in to express my sadness about not getting off the waitlist yet. I'm still holding out hope that I'll make it to some amount of the festival but I'm getting quite disheartened. If anyone has 2 extras for 3-, 2-, or single day tickets please please reach out!

If anyone needs a Sunday ticket and has a pair of Friday night Shadrach Boggs, i have a sunday single day for the festival that i am going to send back to Dice tonight, willing to workout a deal for trade for the Blues show on friday

I did get the boost response, but now I don’t know if I should reduce my number of tickets requested lol. The way my email was worded was
“Rejoining the waiting list does reset your spot on the list unfortunately. However, to remedy this, I went ahead and boosted you to the top of the list. If you're offered tickets and miss the reservation slot, just let us know and we'll pop you back on the Waiting List. Let us know if you have any more questions. Best of luck!”
So now I don’t know if I should try to drop down to two and see if they’ll “boost” me again. Seems like I am currently #1 in the line for four?

I believe someone here said the Dice line closes at 9 this morning so I guess we’re officially out. If you could allow me one conspiracy—
In the past I speculated that they released extra tickets through the waitlist to encourage people to use the platform. Reports both here and Reddit seem to agree that the list moved much, much less than in years past. Maybe they’ve decided not to release extra tickets through the waitlist anymore?
Anyway, there’s always next year. Loved reading everybody’s speculation and saltiness as always, hope you all have a blast, can’t wait to read the reactions.
Looking for a single Friday ticket for a friend who has been on the waitlist for weeks. Starting to get worried re: Dice. Hoping there’s someone out there with an extra ticket who’d be willing to transfer to her directly through the Dice app - we will Venmo/preferred method of repayment! It seems like the waitlist is not moving at all.
I am a Portsmouth local who hasn’t missed a fest in the 9yrs I’ve been living on the island. Only say this because I’ve seen the persistent scammers - this is not that! I’ve already messaged Dice on insta and sent up a flare on my own socials looking for a ticket. Any help would be greatly greatly greatly appreciated!!

Checking in before Newport #8 for me. Since we started bringing the little ones we only do Saturday-Sunday, so I'm buying myself tickets to MMJ, the Beths, and Slaughter Beach Dog on their NYC stops this fall to get over the FOMO.
The Hold Steady are my favorite band so this is a big one for me. Got the chance to meet Craig Finn a few years ago and the only question I had was if he'd ever do Newport. He told me he'd never been asked, then said Deer Tick had wanted him to come out for aftershows but he heard getting lodging was tough.
I'll be reading your posts and stalking lots of artist instagram stories tomorrow trying to find out any tidbits.

After a long/hot day at the fort, if anyone with Shadrach Boggs tickets decides they would rather sit down at the Jane Pickens theater, I would trade my two Aoife tickets!
