I hung out with Tranter in real life hours after this conversation. If there’s any lying going on its from the guy to Tranter, not from Tranter himself.
another scoop from this convo was that Travis was originally booked but J Cole wasn’t his replacement. I think it was supposed to be Tool Travis J Cole

if there's anybody you can trust, it's "Jake Jortles"

Wow if Posty joins the peppas the set will be good. Maybe since JOhn FRusciante is back I haven't seen them with john frusicante so i'm looking forward to it.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

Hmm, the map is out, and it's informative. I can't be bothered to compare it to maps and attendance estimates from previous years, but it looks like we are indeed going to be in for a more intimate gathering than in some years past. No Pod 1, of course, and no campgrounds in the NE corner, Plaza 10/11. Nothing much around the pond North of Bushy Branch, and the East side of the Plaza 2 area may not be utilized as heavy as it has been sometimes. Personally, I don't see a down side to any of this, although it would be nice if they'd give us a little more space instead of just foregoing the outlying areas.

Just saw the map and thinking the same thing. Definitely smaller footprint with the elimination of space on the north and northeast. GA RV moved closer too and seems smaller. Agree that there isn't a downside. Actually made me more excited to be there. Let's Roo!!
Its been covered at great length already but the only "downside" to a smaller attendance is if you're talking about the longevity and sustainability of the fest, which still will probably be fine in the long run. They've had poor attendance years before and bounced back. It terms of the festival experience itself, yeah not sure how there's much of a downside at all.

But you have to see how they bounced back. They had to book U2 to get crowds back one year. So are they gonna follow Lolla and get some Kpop to bolster sales?

Not really comparables. The Stones would as Align with the U2 solution. Stadium level RRHOF act that can move VIP ticket. Or maybe GNR or Coldplay.
