Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I go to Okee for my EDM, Roo for my everything, and Hula for my jam. Different priorities at each fest!
I only singled out Blunts and Blondes.
Ah fair enough. Any particular reason not to like him? He's a Tampa local and throws down secret sets whenever he's in town. Has a lot of fun up there and plays a lot of old school pop punk and emo when I see him at those.
Agreed. But they did mention Goose so there's hope...

Ah yes, the big three. Well, that's the big three for me too, anyway. I always plan other fests to take their place but have yet to pull the trigger. I just keep going back for more.
I'm assuming my esteemed Inforoo brother esteban was referring to the douchiness of B&B and particularly the recent rape allegations surrounding him. Correct me if I'm wrong. GRiZ even removed their collaboration off of streaming services.

But yes, Goooooooooooooooossseeeeeeeee
Yeah, more about him in general as I wasn't aware of the allegations. He looks like a nice enough guy, but his alias grated me from the first time I saw the name. Yeah, those are both good things, but it's such a frat-ish/superficial type angle to bring in the bros. I watched part of one of his sets on tv a while back and didn't really care for it. But I'm not knocking marketdown in that if he's a cool guy and represents that part of Florida, I'll withhold any future judgment until I see him in person.

Yeah, Griz pulled their collab and a lot of artists immediately shunned him and pulled out of his tour. Insomniac hasn't pulled the plug on him at any of their events, and it's a single allegation. I do hate the way he's handled it, but I'm not the type to label someone guilty until innocent and I'd be pretty upset myself if someone leveled an accusation like that my way, especially if it is false. Charges or a civil suit haven't been filed, and until that step is taken I'm not gonna shun someone from the scene.
So many people I'm pumped for, in no particular order: Excision, Peekaboo, Kaivon, Golden Features, Odesza, Goose, Channel Tres, Free Nationals, Boogie T b2b Dirt Monkey, Ivy Lab, Wreckno, The 502s, It Hz, Benda, Griz, Earth, Wind & Fire, Big Boi, Blunts & BLondes, Baby Keem, Dirty Heads, LSDream, JPEGMafia, Sven Vath, Chris Lorenzo, Mersiv, Flipturn

Gonna be doing this until lineup drop, hope y'all like it. Tell me to fuck off if you don't. Depending on how busy work is, might make two posts a day so I can actually get through the lineup. All of these reviews will include at least a full hour of listening to their Spotify tracks.
Okeechobee Act of the Day: Break Science "Raised and influenced by the rhythm and culture of New York City, Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee fuse generations of the city's rich musical legacy with their own deep-rooted connection to hip-hop heritage. Merging their production styles seamlessly, the duo creates a refreshingly original take on electronic music. The live show transcends expectations with Lee's seasoned trip-hop/dub/jazz vibes on keyboards and Ableton Live, and Deitch's thunderous breakbeat style on drums." -From their Spotify
Spent an hour listening to them for the first time today, they have a groovy, funky, lo-fi beat. Found out today their drummer is the dude from Lettuce, another favorite of mine. A lot of their tracks blend hip hop beats into their lo-fi funk for a style I've immediately become a huge fan of. The lineup doesn't note whether this'll be a DJ set, so hopefully this will be a live set. They'll be playing on Thursday, and after my listening today have immediately become a set I can't miss.
I'm also in the "fuck rapists" camp, but this is a one time accusation from a person who immediately deleted their twitter account. Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely in the "believe victims" camp. I'm not in favor of cancelling people over accusations, a good friend of mine in high school was accused of rape when he broke up with a girl and it ruined his life before she recanted her statement and admitted she told her friends that when she was drunk and mad at him. People are innocent until proven guilty, and unlike the Bassnectar fiasco, this victim hasn't pulled out any proof or receipts of even them having contact.

Okeechobee Act of The Day (okay I got three of these lined up already today, gonna type em up as I have time in the workday)
Daily Bread "Rhett Whatley, (born April 24, 1988) also known as Daily Bread, is a music producer and multi-instrumentalist from Atlanta, Georgia." -From Spotify
Genre: Electro-Soul and Hip Hop
I absolutely fucking love Daily Bread. One of my new favorite acts I've discovered recently, these jams are a solid vibe and feature a number of different rappers. The ATL.A. album is a jam. Other song highlights include Spaceships on I-285, The Greatest Comeback, and Moreland Ave Blues.
Final Review: 9.5/10. Some of his intros are a little slow which keeps me from the full 10/10
Honestly, their songs are so hit or miss for me. I absolutely love the song from start to finish, or I can't get into it at all. Highlights of their tracks for me are For Aisha, MIRRORS, Sun Sala, Mumbai Mode, Pull Up, and O.D. Sun Sala being the only one that's only theirs, the others feature work by other artists.
Final Review: 6/10 If there's nobody else playing, I'm interested enough in them to check out a full live set and see how they perform.

Okeechobee (Third) Act of the Day:
Carlita: Carlita is a Turkish DJ and producer from Istanbul. A classical musician and multi-instrumentalist (drums, cello, bass and electric guitar), she experiments with a mix of live and electronic instruments in her productions, using different synths, sampled instruments, and field recordings from her travels. With early influences ranging from Turkish Psychedelia to Rock ‘n’ Roll, she combines an ever changing kaleidoscope of sounds and cultures into a driving electronic beat. Her signature eclectic, wordly sound and diverse musical background ensure her sets are always full of surprises, as she expertly crafts a musical journey with each performance. -From Her Spotify
Genre: Downtempo, Afro-beat, electro-cumbia, house. Super diverse genre, interviews claim she takes inspiration from a lot of genres and doesn't like to fit one specifically.
Final Review: 8/10 Honestly another artist I hadn't listened to who I'm looking forward to seeing live. Very cool mix of tracks, none were really mixes. Worked out to it this morning and a really good bpm for that if that's something you're into.
I'm super stoked for Daily Bread, I didn't realize just how good he was. Didn't expect to camp rail all day on Thursday but after that announcement holy smokes

My friend Celo is opening the Here stage on Friday! Was expecting him at Aqua or Incendia, pleasant surprise to see the homie be the first act on the Here stage for 2023.
