If the schedule shakes out so that I could see Paris Texas, Channel Tres, Peggy, and Skepta all on Friday before Cudi I could be down, but will depend on that. Saturday/Sunday are a pass though, hoping Denzel gets an aftershow announced.
not awful but nothing I’m overly concerned with missing. Do really hope i dont miss a lot of these undercard artist boston shows while im at primavera though.
If Halsey, Clairo, Black Pumas, Glass Animals, Beabadoobee and Japanese Breakfast were all on one day, it'd work for me. No way I can stomach 3 days of this to see a few acts I like.

Gonna be curious to see who plays the aftershows. My friends and I are planning on visiting the city that weekend, but probably will just do an aftershow or two instead.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
Why is it so hard to stage a festival at a park in NYC?
Parks are heavily used by the communities they surround and to close one down for a 3 day private for-profit event would lead a fair amount of uproar from the locals. As someone who lives near Prospect Park, I'd be pissed if a 3 day festival closed it down for one weekend (unless it was one I was planning to go to of course haha).
It really seems like they've gone out of their way to not book anything that even approximates "rock" on any level. The Black Pumas are super soft but are Cannibal Corpse compared to the rest of this.
Sunday is fire, though I wished they switched Cole with Cudi. Friday's cool, Saturday's meh. The pivot back to the high schoolers is complete.
I'll always root for this fest, but man, we waited weeks for this?
well see how scheduling plays out but if its possible to see Carti, Kaytranada, Clairo, Becky G, and Jazmine without conflicts it will be the best non-coachella festival day released so far

Saving all the rock for Sound on Sound! Everyone is coming to Bridgeport!!!
Just dropping by to offer my condolences on this one. Gov Ball used to be a favorite with some unique headliners and quirky undercard booking, but this is a bottoming out in my eyes.
I get that they're aiming for the HS/college market with this lineup, but is Cudi headline level with that audience? I associate him with having his best stuff 10 or 12 years ago. Is is like the rap equivalent of booking Bjork in 2020 or something?
