andrew were you wearing a powder blue Rangers jersey and Texas Tech hat yesterday? I think you were right in front of me at Sydney Sprague. I didn't make the Lubbock connection until after the set, or I would have said hi.
Yes! I saw her share an IG story from someone named Tyler and I was like, “hmmm, wonder if that’s him.”

Hi I was at this. I'd go 1. Billy Strings- By like a mile. What an absolute burner of a set, my first time seeing him and he blew away my already sky high expectations. Great crowd too. Man what a set. I've already re-listened on Nugs today like twice. Guy in front of me turned around after the show and said "I looked back a few times and you had the biggest smile I'd ever seen on your face". Can't wait to see him again 2. War on Drugs 3. Jade Bird 4. Foo Fighters (first time seeing them) 5. St Vincent 6. Tame Impala 7. Black Pistol Fire 8. Del Water Gap
Fitz and The Tantrums were fun too though I find their music pretty mediocre. Dashboard Confessional was pretty alright, I had never really listened to them but I get why if you found them in high school or whenever that they'd be huge for you. St Vincent would probably be higher if I hadn't seen that set before, it's really good. I wish I was more into the Tame Impala set, but I really think they just don't do it for me live besides a couple really nice moments, and I do like the band a lot. Last time I saw War on Drugs last month the mixing was really bad and you couldn't hear the guitar, this show was much better for that, but a bummer they didn't get a slightly longer set. Still a bit sad MMJ canceled but TWOD was the best replacement I could ask for
have a friend who just flew into phoenix today and for some reason it made me think about this thread. it feels kinda dumb to speculate who’s gonna play this since it’s so small but any combo of Arcade Fire, Jack White, Green Day, Stevie and/or NIN headlining and a decent undercard would def bring me back
have a feeling MMJ will be back to make up for last year

MMJ implied they are taking a solid break after their Halloween show. I feel like they may still do some shows next year but I'd guess closer to the second half of the year
I had fun at this fest and NIN would potentially get me back. Jason Isbell would be a great get and he has some Canada shows the next week so I don't think it's out of the question that he adds this and like an SLC and Montana show leading up to his Calgary show, he played in 2019.
It's really tough to predict because there's not a ton of acts touring around then that I can think of, but also this fest weirdly booked a ton of acts in 2022 that basically did this show as a one off. Foo Fighters, St Vincent, Billy Strings, Jade Bird, Fitz and the Tantrums, and MMJ before they cancelled all kind of had this show as a one off not really based around tours. I thought that was interesting and noted it last year

Hearing rumors that one of the headliners is the RHCP, but unconfirmed at this point. Would make sense since they skipped Phoenix on this tour and will just be wrapping up a quick little Australia tour a few weeks prior.
i really hope they’re not playing, mainly because i told my roomate tonight that they were too big to headline this and i don’t want him to hit me with “i told you so”

i mean they got foo Fighters. So if they spent on RHCP and then its a not so big headliner the other day then that makes sense

Depending on who else was there, I guess I'm in. Never seen them and it's so close to my spot.

Good news: Your roommate doesn't get to rub it in! Bad news: This is really mediocre.
