“I’m getting a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame around the anniversary. I’m planning on doing some fun shows that are just songs from that album. There’s a re-release of the album happening with some demos on it. It’s so crazy that it’s been 20 years.”

Would love to get Avril AND not have to hear the new stuff
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
GVF doesn't have dates for a lot of the major markets.
I don't think they make any sense whatsoever for RF but I saw them on their first tour and was perfectly fine, inoffensive goofy stuff. It's campy shtick- but they lean into it and I can't hate that.
They did major markets last fall and have that weird midwest tour that starts this month and does go through Illinois. Outside of that theyve been Metallicas tour opener.
Seems like everyone in here forgot once again that GVF would be best for the Wicker Park Street Fest. 🙄 🙄
I did see Roky Erickson at Wicker Park Fest a few years back but agree that GVF is a much more seminal and vital influence in psychedelic rock and would be a better booking

Oh yeah - totally going to be there but headliner? Tough to gage I guess. Besides Cruel World what other festivals are they playing? Prima but it's billed alphabetically so that's not overly helpful

Weren't they supposed to play RF a few years back and there was like a Visa issue or something?
If Bikini Kill can headline then Bauhaus could too.
Yes, the Reader announced them prematurely as the 3rd headliner in 2018 I think? Riot Fest had radio silence up until like a week before the fest, and then finally announced Blink was cancelling, Weezer was replacing them, and RTJ was the 3rd headliner.
