Tells are one thing but I feel like the game has generally shifted away from people's actions and more towards gut reads. Which I learned long ago I'm terrible at, and I don't think they're as helpful to others in this game because they're not able to be argued against. Which also means that Mafia can use them to slip votes through without having to put too much thought into defending it. Anyone can say "I feel like they're playing different" and call it a day. And I'm not referring to anyone/thing specific to this game, though Maddog's post above made me think of it.
I do think there are good reasons to vote for both Silver and Potent based on the things they've said though, enough so to make me raise an eyebrow at strong pushback for either of them.
i agree with this only partially. mafia manipulation can occur on any/all levels--data isn't immune to manipulation at all. a maf team can just as much go into a round with a plan of where they will and won't vote, how they will or won't move votes, etc. just as they can plan ahead who to call out as sus or not.
it isn't as if i disregard actions--in fact, when i talk about "gut reads" it is most often a combo of actions + more nuanced stuff (tone, approach, etc.) that i have analyzed to get to that place

That makes no sense but I guess it's for the rest of townies to believe it or not. You've got kpo for sure. I think it's going to be a clean mafia sweep.
Did a quick reread. Feel good about my vote on Potent. Him and Rummy really feel like a pair.
I'm feeling the opposite of that. I could see either of them being Mafia but lean strongly towards them not being teammates.
theo wasn't on my sus list, but this take of his makes me raise eyebrows at him now. not as many eyebrows as i have towards a couple others, but eyebrows nonetheless

Void the vote i guess. Didnt see a tally for a while or an alert that the round was closed. Just realized that otter is town and wanted to get off him
Gonna jump on this post and say maybe an otter voter was worried about it? That's Potent, Jaz, and Tranter. Potent hasn't said too much and his switch at the end off otter onto tranter was kinda weird to me

people can say what they want about gut reads not being the best strategy to use etc etc but i guess right now i'm just feeling pretty frustrated that we are likely going to enter d3 with no mafia down unless otter was (or unless potent has played me like a fiddle here)

I don’t find anything about this voting process that got us here particularly egregious. If there isn’t a maf between Silver and Potent then it’s just a bad game from me and we put ourselves in a spot to make that call.
