Rage Against the Machine - Olivia Rodrigo - Widespread Panic
Dolly Parton - Silk Sonic - Playboi Carti
Very here for this, but I don’t think St Vincent makes it that high given her placement at acl and the lukewarm reception to her new album. Give that spot to Erykah Badu, or put Olivia there and have Miley open for Rage. And agreed on oysterhead > wsp

Olivia's a sub at minimum imo, she's a goddamn star. Her new album is great. There's probably more fitting names than St. V for that spot but that mock felt very light on the critically acclaimed indie stuff and she was a good fit for that

Fair enough. Vampire Weekend or LCD Soundsystem could fit that bill, but St V there is definitely possible. I also just think that genre’s gonna be less and less represented at the top of lineups. Lolla’s highest billed “indie” artist is Modest Mouse at #16. There are only so many options Roo can book without repeating recent names.
Made a lineup featuring acts I find most likely to play, all acts that were on 2020’s lineup but didn’t make it to 2021, and a ton of undercard acts I really hope will play, and enough of female acts on there. Add a Thursday with only like two acts people know and I think it could pass. I know billing might be wonky at places so tell me if there’s anything very underbilled. Also I would ideally swap Travis for Kendrick if he releases a new album, but Travis just seem likely to finally headline.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Nice job putting together a full lineup. Personally this wouldn't get me back. It's not bad, just doesn't have a lot of people I'm dying to see.
A few things regarding billing that I noticed: I think Doja Cat would be more in the 3-4 range on her day. Olivia Rodrigo would probably be 2-3. Then I see you have Morgan Wallen last, but isn't he really big now? Not sure if Roo would book him now anyway, but I think he'd be top 5 on his day.

yeah Doja Cat would def be around 4 now and especially in 2022. I just heard of Olivia and I know she’s super popular and seems like the next big thing but would she really be second on her day now?? I would think like 4-6 still. But maybe she will be by then. And I didn’t know Morgan was big now, I don’t know who he is, but I trust your word he’s big now.

Drivers License by Olivia Rodrigo broke the record for fastest song to 100 million streams on Spotify, and it was basically her first actual song (not part of Disney). It's now at 750 million streams. She's already huge and by this time next year she's going to be massive

Morgan Wallen's album was #1 on the Billboard Top 200 for ten weeks straight
damn he really blew up then, I know nothing of country nor pay attention to billboard.
He got caught on video saying the N-word right after the album came out, got his SNL appearance canceled, and the album still did crazy numbers. Dude ain’t playing Bonnaroo but he’s gonna be headlining country festivals
Every time we discuss Dolly on here I feel like we’re only one step closer to manifesting Garth Brooks headlining instead, and by mentioning that I feel like I’ve just manifested Luke Bryan headlining instead.
Rage Against the Machine - SZA Dababy - St. Vincent - Khruangbin - Pixies - Playboi Carti - GRiZ - Roddy Ricch
Lorde - Vampire Weekend Oysterhead - 21 Savage - Sam Hunt - Black Pumas - Hall & Oates - Rezz
Travis Scott - Dua Lipa Lil Nas X - Rufus du Sol - Tory Lanez - Modest Mouse - Lord Huron
I'd definitely be down for a Lorde headlining set, especially with Billie likely being out now. I think Dua Lipa is a clear headliner now though. I didn't realize just how massive she is now, but she's absolutely massive. It's hard to gauge Dua vs. Lorde since Lorde hasn't released music in a while, but I think Dua might be bigger now even if she had.
Edit: Dua has 4 songs with over a billion streams on Spotify. Lorde has 1 song over 500 million.
Sometimes I think this board enjoys making fake festivals more than going to festivals
Yes
Fri: Radiohead | Skrillex Lil Nas X | Erykah Badu | Maggie Rogers | The Flaming Lips | Kaytranada | Khruangbin | Pink Sweat$
Sat: Rihanna | A$AP Rocky Oysterhead | RÜFÜS DU SOL | Roddy Ricch | St. Vincent | Counting Crows | Vulfpeck
Sun: Stevie Nicks | Olivia Rodrigo Vampire Weekend | 21 Savage | The Highwomen | Black Pumas | Porter Robinson
This feels pretty realistic. Not sure why I'd kind of forgotten about Radiohead; they're certainly due for a return. Overall this wouldn't personally thrill me, but I think it'd be another fairly quick sell out.
Rihanna/Radiohead/Stevie Nicks is not realistic lol
I think Stevie Nicks solo is a smaller headliner though. She was 2nd on her day behind Tame on the 2020 Gov Ball lineup. Listed not by day, they had her 5th on the bill.

I don't think that makes it realistic for them to book the best band of the last 30 years and the second biggest pop star of the last 20 years that is basically retired from music at this point.

I was originally speaking on the mock as a whole, not just the trio of headliners. I mean yes, even getting Rihanna alone is of course unrealistic, but Roo has gotten huge headliners before. Is Radiohead/Rihanna that much crazier than Elton John/Kanye West? Is that trio together that much bigger than something like U2/RHCP/The Weeknd? Obviously a Radiohead/Rihanna/Stevie trio is better, but I'm not sure about being much bigger. I could be wrong though.
