I like AMSP but Radiohead is so good of a live band that the setlist doesn’t even have to be amazing for it to be a good show. Every song and project gets brought to life in its own way.
Radiohead isn't okay to headline for a fourth time with a new album, but Rage playing a third time with presumably the same set and no new music is okay? That mixed messaging just strikes me a little odd
Or alternatively she’s gearing up to play April. October LA dates work for that. I think it’ll be mostly the 2020 lineup in April but she would make a ton of sense to add / replace someone else.

If Rage’s last set was 2017 it would not be so cool for them to be playing again. But it was 2007.
If that were the last time Radiohead played nobody would debate the merits of having them headline next year.
Also, I don’t see Rage doing the same set. They claimed they were planning to do things they’d never done before. (Though that’s a little like athletes in preseason claiming they’re in the best shape of their lives)
Nothing against Radiohead, I just personally wouldn't want to recycle a headliner from like 2-3 Coachellas ago. Of course we missed on 2 rounds of headliners so that makes it seem closer than it was. But I'm a huge Kendrick fan, and I still wouldn't want him headlining 2022. Feels too soon to me. If we had gotten 2020 and 2021 I'd probably feel differently.
Anyone looking for a hotel for next April's presumed dates (15-17, 22-24), the Hilton Garden Inn at Rancho Mirage has availability for very cheap. Around $140/nt.

Yeah but you gotta pay up front. Those assholes got rid of paying when you arrive.
edit: nvm, through their website lets you reserve. And what a joke, they opened up all their properties in the area early, its all sold out.

I believe that's one of Hilton's default messages when availability isn't open yet. I looked at hotels in Orlando 2022, and they all had the same message. I also recall seeing that message when attempting to book early the last couple years.

I cant find the post but someone posted some demographics data from festivals on here in the past year and I believe the average attendee's age was 27. So the average Coachella 2022 attendee would have been in the sixth grade the last time Rage played

Well it was strange because there were a couple other properties when i looked at a diff weekend and they were avail but expensive. We’ll see I guess if it does pan out to the literal calendar date. I think this was a small exploit cause i searched a certain way and you couldnt try for 2022. Hopefully they dont notice and pull the reservations.

Go to the specific hotel and search out of there. When I did a all Hilton search for Palm Springs everything was blocked out, but going through the Garden Inn Palm Springs website worked
Yep. On the hilton site if you look up the property itself just pick a date next week for example when you get to room selection. Then edit your stay and look at the calendar again youll get 2022

Appreciate the help ! Coffee wasn’t kicking in this morning . Got both weekends booked . FYI the regular 2 queen room is up to $585 a night but they left a king suite /sofa bed at the lower rate
Is there a shuttle there or have to walk to the Omni Rancho hotel?
Didnt seem to have shuttle stop in 2019 from the look of it. I hope the Homewood suites in Palm Desert ends up having rooms cause I had that booked for 2020 and was very happy it was a shuttle stop.

Yeah, I got the double queen with sofa bed suite. Cant hurt having a 3rd bed just in case.
