We’ll see, all y’all were confident the Bengals would win. Vikings are close already hoping new brass changes will bring some spark. But I don’t want to detract from the amazing game the Rams and their defense played. Fucking amazing!! Let’s goooooooooooooooooo

I said Rams and Von.
Vikings are irrelevant as long as Cousins is the QB.

...There’s a lot of parity this year in that I don’t think anyone would put the Rams necessarily in the top few teams heading into the playoffs. I’m not sure they would even be an arguable 5 or 6. But they got the title anyway...
For the two of you who thought that had anything to do with some pro-Saints agenda, here are the facts:
1) Records heading into the playoffs: Pack 13-4, Bucs 13-4, Cowboys 12-5 (#3 seed), Chiefs 12-5, Titans 12-5, Rams 12-5. It's arguable in mid-January whether Rams are/were better than some of the teams who didn't have as many wins as they did, specifically the Bills, 49ers who they hadn't defeated since 2018, Cardinals and Bengals.
2) Seeds: Rams were #4 seed in the NFC. Two teams in the AFC had equal records where the 3 and 4 seeds had 1 and 2 more losses respectively. Rams were tied with 3 other teams for the second best record though again, they were a #4 seed in the NFC.
3) Odds: Per USA Today/Cardswire, these were the odds heading into the playoffs: Green Bay +350, Chiefs +425, Titans +750, Bucs +750, Bills +750, Rams +1000. They were 6th there just ahead of the Cowboys at +1200. Again, one can argue if they are or aren't better than the Cowboys in mid-January and lay their money accordingly. I wasn't making a call on that value as I didn't bet and only offered that I wasn't sure if it would be arguable that they were 5th or 6th best. Anyone could have made the argument or could still make it in hindsight. But for anyone who would and who isn't a biased Rams fan, I'd like to know in your defense how much money you dropped on them after the completion of Week #18's games and when the playoffs started the following Saturday.

I find it interesting that the NBA has an annual "We should change the playoffs so that the two best teams don't meet before the finals" discussion, but nobody says boo about that in the NFL after the playoffs' best game happened in the divisional round.
I'm not saying they *should* change anything - just that it's interesting to me that it doesn't really come up.

I think the tweak of only one bye now has made teams either push for it or just lock up the 2 seed so that they have a higher chance of being at home all playoffs despite not getting the rest. And this season was a rare one with so many seeding scenarios that played out it made people maybe forget about the mathups that could materialize a little early.
He's just not THAT good. I always liked him up against big WRs and would even feel good with him on Tight Ends, but anyone that has some wiggle to them can take him for a ride whenever they want.
