was gonna be my next pick regardless but nice to save the money. Still think Sudan Archives is fine for this stage, but whatever I guess SA will open to 50 people on the Mind Melt.

Looking at the 2019 schedule again, I only really recognize 4 names that were booked to the play Sector 3 across 3 entire days: Ty Segall, Pussy Riot, Khraungbin, John Maus.
Are we assuming that we will have a bigger Sector 3 lineup in this game Julie? I ask because I have the first pick in that round and want to clarify this before we get there.
Indoor secondary stage with industrial aesthetic. This stage features live acts in electronic and hip-hop genres, as well as leftfield / IDM / ambient acts. The closing slot of this stage is often a DJ set or high-energy electronic live act. Think of this stage as similar to Sonar or Day For Night

If we continue how things are going with the Main Frame then I'd assume it will be much bigger than it actually is in real life.
"Smaller outdoor stage featuring mostly indie rock, psych rock, garage rock bands." Idk, I think theres just a lot of acts that functionally can either be openers on the mind melt or cant be picked.

just to put it out there incase anyone is still questioning my Trent & Atticus pick for this stage, after a week of going through all their stuff i've decided it makes more sense for this set to be mainly focused on their higher tempo electronic work, with some ambient stuff. no orchestral shit. just Trent & Atticus up there goin crazy on the synths and sequencers, with Trent whipping out a guitar here and there for some added live flair.
some songs i would definitely want to hear
Hand Cover Bruise into In Motion would be an awesome opening
an example of one that would be sick for Trent to start going crazy on the guitar during
and then just burn the whole house down with this by the end of the night

We can be more lenient on genres then since it will be Phase 4 and the only other phase is a dj only stage. Just don’t put electronic acts or massive productions on Sector 3 and we’re good.

Truevine has this fest or any American fest tried to book Simian Mobile Disco recently? The live show with the choir looks amazing, but I don’t believe they ever brought it to America. I know Jas was sick with some immune related disease, but haven’t seen an update from them regarding it for a couple years now.
Atomic Bomb is similar to Todd Terje & The Olsens. I’m not familiar with Keleketla! but if it’s anything like that then it’s ok. Just don’t want to set the precedent for full jazz acts like Herbie Hancock, Thundercat, Kamasi Washington, etc. Those belong on Mind Melt.
