Honestly, the ones that cancel with refunds are probably not as worried about coming back next year. Some of these smaller ones will either have to refund people, which will end them, or, if they actually cancel and don't refund, have no chance at coming back next year
Not sure what they're ultimately trying to accomplish, but a bunch of European festivals are acting like they're going to go on as usual which seems impossible.
I don’t necessarily read it that way, seems more like they’re committed to making decisions that apply across the board. Sink or swim together kind of thing.
I suppose but that doesn't make much sense to me either. Why would a fest in July cancel just because a fest in May had to cancel (although it seems increasingly likely the July fests will have to cancel regardless anyway)?
