FWIW - My coworker has tickets to Ultra Miami and hasn't received any kind of official notification of cancellation. I think it's still all speculation.

I’m wondering if they are looking into if they can postpone it for sometime later this year. They are probably talking to a lot of the headliners and seeing if that is possible. I doubt it, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.

regarding postponement, it would be a gamble to assume this will be contained by X date, so we can reschedule the festival then, since we really don't know. they'd go through all the pain of rescheduling, rebooking, putting your fans out, etc. just to have to cancel again in a few months. not to mention they will not be able to rebook all of the artists on the lineup, i'm sure most artists already have their summers booked (although who knows if those festivals/dates will go on either). anyway it just seems like a logistical clusterfuck with too many unknowns to postpone, when it's much easier to cancel, collect some insurance money, and regroup for next year.

I think I read yesterday that Ultra will have the official announcement made tomorrow AM which could explain why ticket holders haven't heard if they are getting a refund, and gives them time to see if they can announce new dates right away with a possible shift lineup or whatever

It's on the front page of the Miami Herald, and the article states the decision has been made, but that the reason it hasn't been officially announced is because the city's lawyers are still working out the legal issues involved.
Perhaps people on this forum should learn to distinguish between wild internet speculation from random yahoos, and informed speculation from journalists and sources with a track record of reliability.
