In doing my research I learned that she covered a Bowie song from Labyrinth:
Also, covering Santana/Tito Puente in tribute to The Big Lebowski on NYE 2010:
Physical Reaction/Live Show Likely a daytime show, her set is likely to be pretty rocking with a lot of focus on Potter's vocals and dancing. A show that can be enjoyed sitting on the lawn at What but that will best be enjoyed the closer you are to the stage. She's extremely engaging and tends to have a good relationship with her band on stage. She has a few new members in her band and it's skewing more female than in the past or than with the Nocturnals which is a different dynamic. Past shows have culminated in a group percussion breakdown that's been a lot of fun and highlights her at her jammiest.
Interesting Facts Grace Potter and the Nocturnals played Bonnaroo in 2006 (This Tent), 2009 (This Tent, Sonic Stage, Solar Stage) and 2011 (What Stage). Grace played solo in 2016 (What Stage). In 2009 Grace performed Neil Young's Southern Man with Gov't Mule on the Which Stage. Also in 2009, the whole band transitioned in the middle of moe.'s late night This Tent set for four or five songs before ceding back to moe. In 2011, the band also played a brief promotional performance of I Love Rock N' Roll in the Wheat Thins Tent.
Personal Notes I was a big fan of Grace & the Nocturnals. I caught all of their Bonnaroo performances but their Sonic Stage set and the one in the Wheat Thins Tent. In addition, I've seen them at Tanglewood in MA in 2013 and at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT in 2010. The 2010 show was fun NYE show that included a set that was a tribute to The Big Lebowski with the band in costume and performing the soundtrack.
The only holdover from the Nocturnals in her solo career is guitarist Benny Yurco and the solo show I saw in 2016 suffered from a lack of band chemistry, IMO. Her work with the Nocturnals was more compelling, though the new album seems more of a return to form. I'm interested in seeing how the new band has come together.
