All the bands I like will be rebooked and all the bands I don’t will have to fuck off.
That’s kinda what I was getting at. Seeing a lot of people thinking they will keep frank and rage but let travis walk if someone bigger (that we like) comes along ready to replace him. I don’t know much but sounds pretty unrealistic imo
not really though. If they have the chance to book frank or rage they’ll probably do it. Travis is gonna be around to book forever.
As a Travis fan is by far the least exciting and rare headliner of the bunch. He doesn’t make as much sense to hold on to
Especially if he has no new album, not considering that Jackboys album
Still was hoping to get a chance to hear Frank's 2017 set with some new songs mixed in, but now it seems like he will for sure have a new album by then
Hoping they book Waxahatchee for next year. This new album is great.
THIS! Or she can be a replacement for someone in October. One of my favorite albums of the year so far. Would also say US Girls and Soccer Mommy if they didn't play last year. Thundercat's album is great as well.
Travis can be moved to 2021 with basically no repercussions. People will be pissed if they bought tickets mainly for Rage or Frank and they get moved to 2021, because they are rare. Travis fans would be bummed I'm sure but he tours so much that it's easy to catch him (I know they want to see that Coachella headlining experience, but it's better than Frank maybe having no other shows and Rage on a one tour run before they go away again). I mean it would take a Rihanna level act in order for them to ask him to wait, but IF one had to be asked to moved it would be him imo.
Yves Tumor record is magnificent and more immediately accessible than their other records. Sounds like what making the leap sounds like and would love to see them back up higher on the poster in 2021, or whenever this resumes.

Would be a good booking. I wonder if his team or Coachella made the push to close a tent to barely anyone.

probably his team. we booked them in SD last summer, and knowing his agent and MGMT, i'm betting it was their choice.
1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/4: knock2 3/7: Inhaler* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
End of the 2nd line. But no way in hell could they book her. If you can find a way to be at Largo on the correct night, thats how you get to see these songs.
Lets consider the radius clause still not mattering yet and that the show is sold out. It wouldnt have any bearing on the festival booking since whoever wanted to see them at their own show has the chance, albeit a delayed one. A coachella booking would be a bonus for anyone else. Its gonna get interesting with every band just moving to 2021 and then giving every festival no chance to book them? No way.
Let's not disrespect Hayley Williams like that lol. But as much as I'd like her to play Coachella, I think it's more likely that Paramore does a one off at Coachella in the middle of Hayley's solo tour. (Since they were allegedly planning a Parahoy voyage next year after her solo tour, but that scheduling is all messed up now)
I'd love this line up though, billing a bit wonky but I'm for it!
Agreed. Being able to knock out two Coachella on one flight would be optimal.
I actually think having varying lineups between both weekends like ACL could be a possible solution to slower sales/weak W2 attendance.
With all the PTO I'm collecting this year, at this rate, I'd be able to hit up every festival next year.
I've been thinking this too. At this rate I doubt I take any days this year, so that leaves 36 days to go crazy.
Nice poster, TME. I know Coachella will likely continue the business techno route, but nice to see ladies representing new and exciting sounds of house and techno (HAAi, Park Hye Jen, Shanti Celeste and Kelly Lee Owens) on your mock. I hope they don't fuck the Yuma up as bad as they did on the planned Sunday for this year.
