I met Moses Sumney at Eaux Claires. I didn't realize this at the time, but he was on his way to duet with Serpentwithfeet, which was beautiful. I just thanked him for his music and his message, and he gave me a big hug. It was really sweet. I watched that Serpentwithfeet show standing next to Julien Baker, but I was too scared to say anything/didn't want to bother her (same thing happened at a taco truck at her's and Frightened Rabbits' After Show at ACL 16). Anyways, I saw Moses in the pit at Ho99o9 the next day. He was just standing in the middle of the crowd and some kid points at him and goes "It's Moses Sumney!" Or some shit like that. Moses just points back at him and repeats what he says verbatim and starts mocking him, which was pretty hilarious (and I was just glad I didn't get that treatment the day before). They both disappeared into the pit after that.
Julien Baker walked right by me in the middle of a Circa Survive show at Shaky Knees.
I still regret not making small talk or at least telling her how much I loved her show in Austin.
how much quick clout do you think I could get if I started a Twitter account called the KangaRoo or something and tweeted out things like “I ate Ashley Capps’ ass yesterday and you are NOT going to believe who he told me is replacing Nubya Garcia on Thursday!! 😜😜 you’ll find out soon enough though. (it’s dababy)”

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
both david copperfield and russell crowe were rude to all of us staff when i worked in admissions at the zoo. russell also threw a lit cigarette into a hay bale that was part of the fall decorations at the entrance and nearly started a big old halloween fire.

My girl was the only PA Russell Crowe liked on set. He fired/made cry 4 other PAs. So she ended up basically being his personal PA the rest of shooting. He never learned her name and called her "green hair girl."

Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?
UPCOMING SHOWS 6/8 and maybe 6/9 - Governors Ball 8/17 - King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard @ Forest Hills 9/4 - Pearl Jam @ MSG 9/7 - Pearl Jam @ Wells Fargo Center 9/11 - St. Vincent @ Brooklyn Paramount 9/19 - Stars @ Music Hall of Williamsburg 9/20 - Khruangbin @ Forest Hills
My only "celebrity" encounter in the wild was I stood next to Mia Khalifa at Metallica's ACL set (albeit she was in the platinum area and I was in regular GA).
Would've got a picture with her if my mom wasn't with me.

One thing I don’t understand is why these “scoop” accounts feel the need to jump in and defend a corporation who won’t speak for themselves. I love Bonnaroo just as much as everybody here, but this lack of any material information is ridiculous. Posting shit like “be patient guys! They’re twying their vewy hardest 🥺” just makes me groan.

This definitely makes it seem that more acts will be dropping.
Who's most likely going to cancel?
I don't think it would be too hard for them to replace bottom-tier bands, but anyone in color on the lineup might be a challenge.
Acts the dropping of which would REALLY harsh my vibe:
1) Tame Impala 2) My Morning Jacket 3) Run the Jewels 4) Foos 5) Rufus Du Sol (not that I'm the hugest fan, but Sunday night becomes pretty bleak for me if they were to drop)

Should have just told your mom she's some internet celebrity, lmao.

I would've gotten that picture. Even if my mom had to be included.

This would be a huge buzzkill for me. To be fair, though, he never had Bonnaroo on his website.
That’s why I said I didn’t know if it means anything. sorry to spread bad rumors. I’ll shut up now and cross my fingers that there are only additions and no further lineup cancellations.

If it was a local festival or another night, Sunday would be fine. But I don't think I'm sticking around the extra day even though I like a lot of the acts (have seen 13 of the first 14 listed for Sunday). This day is generally skewed to a very young crowd (exceptions in the first 3 lines being Brittany, Deadmau5, Greensky Bluegrass, Flogging Molly, CAAMP). That's what they did to Voodoo last year. I wasn't sure if they were test-piloting out geared-to demographic days or not. But certainly Sunday Bonnaroo is sort of along those same lines.

Friday is fine, but after losing Janelle and Deftones it became a lot weaker (for me). Khruangbin was a nice replacement, but doesn't cover those 2 losses. I'm guessing they're trying to add instead of replace more.
I'm happy as long as Saturday doesn't change too much. We lost King Gizzard who has no replacement, so maybe they're adding more.
Thursday and Sunday I care less about. Mostly because I'm exploring on Thursday and slowing down on Sunday. They replaced Lana with Rufus, so as long as no one else cancels, this will remain mostly the same.
