This is just old news that has been discussed to death previously in the thread. When you said "Gizz confirmed" I think people thought this was a new development.

Weird things have happened with routing (Everything Everything, Jay Z, Skepta) but Gizz isn’t doing any other US shows nor are they headlining. Give it up, fellas.
Roo show was already like a month before any of their cancelled shows. Unless they were just going to hang out in the States, they were already doing Roo as something of a one-off.

Respectfully I’ll never understand this argument. How many acts on the lineup had Roo as their only show announced, only for more dates to be announced surrounding it later. It’s not strange to think that an over seas band was working on a tour that before it ever got announced, was scrapped due to it not panning out

But the tour was announced. And it started a month after Bonnaroo. Idk what you’re trying to say but I don’t think they were planning on announcing any other small tour or anything to bridge the gap.

Fests like Riot Fest, Governor’s Ball, Psycho Las Vegas had artists drop out and within a day had replacement artists and new posters up on their websites
I think Bonnaroo sending out an email blast last week with the lineup still having King Gizz, is pretty strong indication that at least for now they’re planning on playing Roo
I heard that Gizz is indeed playing Roo, but it's going to be a set of Sylvan Esso covers.
with sit ins from many musical luminaries including Ernie Chang (saxophone player from Andy Frasco and the U.N.), Casey Crawford (saxophone player from Big Something), Matt Owen (tuba player from Andy Frasco and the U.N.), and Nelly.

Great booking by Bonnaroo tbh. One of the most exciting headliners available in 2021.
Yeah, definitely!!! I still wish he was performing Friday or Saturday tho. I always think of Sunday as the chill day at Bonnaroo. Not get hype and go crazy kinda vibe. But whatever, I’m freakin stoked to see him and to have new music.
If this is halfway decent and they incorporate a bit of it into their Roo set, I might end up attending and enjoying their show after all.
Edit: Didn't properly comprehend the article; they're all covers. Still, I'd be down for some Bee Gees covers at Roo.
