I'm probably not prepared to name it the best album of the last ten years on the day it came out, but I also think it's probably closer to a 10 than most albums are. What would you give it?

EOB was very solid. I figured it would be discussed more than it has. Although Radiohead is being discussed a lot
Though I liked the glammy, over the top production and useage of the band, I liked Safe In The Hands Of Love a bit more. It's still an 8 to me tho.
yeah going straight-up glam rock was a great aesthetic choice but also it had the negative effect of making all the individual songs stand out less than they did on Safe in the Hands of Love.

I actually had the same feeling but on the other side, you'd say that's more cohesive aswell.

I really prefer that cohesion, that way transitions have a sort of flow. It bugs me when albums are more or less a collection of singles.
