So, Dan Deacon, Caribou, and Waxahatchee so far this year. I know they'll be a Album of the Year tourney thread later, but who's the front-runner so far a quarter of the way through 2020? Deacon and Caribou aren't really my thing so I'd pick Waxahatchee between the three.

If you expand your timeline by two days then I would vote Sigma Oasis as the front runner

Not sure if it's the "best", but I've probably listened to Andy Shauf's record the most of anything from this year. I'd take Caribou out of the three you listed there, but I've allowed my expectations to get sky-high for Fiona Apple so we'll see where that lands next week

Fetch The Bolt Cutters, A.A.L., Nicolas Jaar, Caribou, Waxahatchee, Dan Deacon.

Dan Deacon out of those three. But really liked all three.

Did Fetch the Bold Cutters leak? I thought it came out next week.
The new Laura Marling is, unsurprisingly, really good.
Not as good but definitely worth a listen is the new Trace Mountain album. I feel like that's gonna be in your heavy rotation.
I'd also check out the new Jackie Lynn record. It's very very abstract and very very beautiful.
Horns up for Caustic Wounds, too.
E: If I didn't know the new Oranssi Pazuzu was dropping at the end of the month, this would be a frontrunner.
Thanks for this! I can tell from the album artwork alone that I will like Trace Mountains haha. And I actually played that Jackie Lynn record last night after Moon Duo tweeted about her. I was singing Shugar Water for a few hours afterwords. It was good stuff!

Gave it first listen on a walk through the woods Friday evening: perfect setting for that album.
Excellent choice for a first listen. I'm going to do the same with Hamilton Leithauser this evening. I meant to do it earlier but Laura Marling took over for the last few days.

Positive of working from home: I get to listen to more albums in their entirety without interruption. Negative of working from home: I get to listen to more albums, but I cannot remember them all when end of the month comes around.
Edit: note to future Dave, you're voting for ADULT. Don't kid yourself.
