I wonder if this can sell out with just MCR being announced.
Judging by the demand in other cities, I think it could. They instantly sold out three nights at the Forum in LA, and those GA pit tickets were $265 each after fees.

Damn I bought VIP but I didn't really look closely enough at the VIP tiers, the deluxe seems like a better deal. Should be easy enough to upgrade at the fest if I need to right?

You sure? I dont know if their booking info has leaked but Foo Fighters seem like they'd be more expensive. I suppose they may have a bigger price due to the reunion aspect of it though.
MCR is about to add second dates to a lot of these arena stops. I do side work for a promoter/booking company and while I’m not booking or seeing actual numbers I was told MCR $ tag was one of the highest they’ve seen. Near Metallica etc
1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/4: knock2 3/7: Inhaler* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol

I found this interesting.
Yeah maybe why the lineup format looks like it will be MCR alone on top and probably a bunch of B names to fill out the rest. MCR alone will move a ton of tickets for them and they probably threw all their chips in that bucket which looks like it was a good bet

Looks like they reported 160k over three days. Wasn’t sold out either so I’m assuming the grounds can hold 60-70k I remember being surprised how big it is. I’ve met a ton of people in Florida who fly out every year who aren’t even really into fests. It’s core audience is strong and nationwide

Oh, for sure. I brought this up because I’ve seen people talk about how they want or expect Rage to be on the lineup as well. I told them to lower their expectations because I don’t expect that to happen, especially since we’ve seen that Rage is a costly act. They are way more likely to play Lolla because of past history and the fest can handle the demand.

Fuck. This thing just gets more likely and likely.
If we don't like Pitchfork's lineup, we're gonna try to make this happen.
Just plan for Riot Fest. You wont dig the P4K one especially for its cost and travel in Sept is going to be cheaper to Chicago anyway since its right after summer travel season.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
The Hives, Pup, The Front Bottoms, The Interrupters, Hop Along, Jeff Rosenstock, Orville Peck, Anti-Flag, The Darkness, Modest Mouse performing “Moon and Antarctica” (20 years), Anberlin performing “Never Take Friendship Personal” (15 years), Deerhunter performing “Halcyon Digest” (10 years), Ruston Kelly performing “Dirt Emo” (1 year? Hah)

I've done Pitchfork twice already - but if the lineup is good enough, I can do it again. If not, I can try out Riot this time. Also Sept flight tickets from LAX seems to be cheap.
