Anyone else pretty excited with the options this year for headliners? There's a bunch of guitar heavy bands touring right now and Lolla will most likely only have 3-4 as headliners leaving Riot with plenty of options.
Nine Inch Nails * My Chemical Romance * The Strokes would for sure get me there. Other options for headliners include: Smashing Pumpkins, Beck, Pearl Jam (unlikely), Rage (unlikely), Black Keys, Red Hot Chili Peppers (unlikley), and My Morning Jacket.
Really hoping they knock it out of the park this year
They were after Bauhaus a couple years ago. Not sure how high they'd be.
Desert Sessions?
They would probably headline Bauhaus and stack the day theyre on. If Misfits can headline, why not Bauhaus, theyve cornered the goth rock demo.
Riot Fest probably has to wait on MCR til next year. And they could probably pull off getting No Doubt for a Tragic Kingdom set. This fest prides itself on having a handful of acts nobody else gets. Theyre just lucky every old Warped Tour band is cashing in with album specific tours and such or things would be stale.

Not sure about MCR. If the rumor is true that they turned down Coach because they weren't given a headliner slot, I don't know if they'll take 5th or so at Lolla. They would also be a perfect match so and a definite headliner at Riot so it could happen.

They are rumored to be doing a US tour in September, so we’ll see if they wanna do their own headlining show or a festival appearance.
1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/4: knock2 3/7: Inhaler* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol

Top 8 "headline" Lolla. They'll be a north stage headliner if they're playing.
Y’all should probably lower your expectations when it comes to the size of headliners for this fest.
The quality of lineup has gone down over the past year or two but Riot is certainly capable of getting decently large headliners. They've had The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, No Doubt, and System of a Down before.
Yes, Pearl Jam, Rage, and RHCP are probably too big but something along the lines of Nine Inch Nails * My Chemical Romance * The National matches the type of headliners they had 2014 - 2017. Usually it looks like they get one metal or hard rock headliner (NIN, SOAD, Slayer), one punk headliner (Blink, Bikini Kill, Jawbreaker), and one more indie headliner (The NAtional, Modest Mouse, Beck) with usually one of the headliners being a reunion or special show.
I dont think theyll even end up with single day ticket sales if the demand thats been there for the uk onsales is matched here. Easiest show to get a ticket for and its all ga.
