I really think it's MCR - Lizzo - Tame Impala - Lana Del Ray - Skrillex - Khalid
Yea pretty what I've been thinking for a while too. I think that covers as many bases as Firefly could reach given the available options without shelling out for a huge name (that we can see now).
Edit- just thought about it, we won't share two headliners with Roo
Fri- MCR * Skrillex * Khalid
Sat- Lizzo Billie Eilish * Cage the Elephant (or something like that) * ZHU
1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/4: knock2 3/7: Inhaler* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
Well, Flume is playing Electric Forest so he’ll be in the U.S. during this.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Forest and Firefly have the same organizer and Forest if the week after Firefly this year. Could see Flume or Major Lazer popping up at Firefly for a post-headliner set.
I could see MCR subbing Coachella and headlining Firefly for multiple reasons. Location, audience, size of fest, etc
Oh sure I could see MCR headlining in some capacity but not #1. This is still an 80k-90k festival who had The Killers as their 4th headliner 2 years ago in a year where they had a huge #1.

Firefly has never had a headliner that was a sub at another festival in the life of its three day existence to this point, and has in fact had other festivals' headliners as subs, eg Tyler the Creator in 2019.

So Panic At The Disco would headline Coachella according to your logic?

In PA the 19th with a five day break then Boston on the 24th, Also i don't see a Philly/DC/Baltimore date.
Their tour is crammed with back to backs and doesn't have more than a 2 day gap at any point during the first wave. Then there's that random 5 day gap, and they're a California band so it's not like they are resting at home. I'd say it's very likely they are playing Saturday or Sunday as Firefly's #1.
It makes sense whether you like them or hate them (i say like because i don't think any really "loves" them)

Yeah, yikes. If this is true, this festival is probably going into the graveyard soon. ⚰️

no they simply would never be booked there. Similar to Twenty One Pilots.

Both fests had The Weeknd and Chance in 2017 and The Killers and Eminem in 2018.

Chance was the festival whore in 2017 and Eminem in 2018, so I suppose we'll see who that is is 2020. Perhaps Lizzo. I forgot about the Weeknd, I don't count the Killers because they play every fucking festival.
