Gesaffelstein show is good if you LOVE his music, but a bit boring if you’re more of a passive fan.
passive fan here, just saw him tonight and LOVED it. highly recommend for anyone on the fence. granted I don't care for Kacey so it'd be an easy decision anyways.
Las Vegas Festival Grounds seems like a smallish venue to cram two large stages and an Antarctic sized dome. Especially since they have mock ups on their website with an extra main stage sized tent for “Experiences” and the dome in a central courtyard area.
Maybe someone who has been to Day n Vegas or generally the grounds can comment, but it looks like it will be simple to split sets. My biggest worry is finding a dinner break for our group with that schedule. Two stacked to the brim days!
So, I went to Day n Vegas. The grounds aren’t the biggest but I was walking a lot between stages. It is pretty much all asphalt so bring good walking shoes. From the looks of the drawings, it looks like the fest will be very small. They are closing off a lot of what was used for Day n Vegas, like where the main stage was. In terms of security, I’d assume they’ll be using the same company. They were very lax with things like weed on the 1st day, but stepped it up after that. You should have no problem hiding a preroll in a sunglasses case or something.

I’m curious how crowded this thing is gonna be
Seems no one is talking about it, even their social media posts don’t get any attention, but on the flip side it’s on the strip in vegas so you’d think there’d be a built in audience, plus the aws conference people. and they’re selling tickets for so damn cheap

Not sure if this has been mentioned here, but they have a pretty strict bag policy. See-through bags only for anything over the size of a small fanny pack. Just a heads up!
It looks like they made a few changes to the schedule on the app most notably Goldrooms set was moved from Friday to Saturday conflicting with the Foo Fighters and Kaytandra.
Are we assuming this thing will be empty? I don’t even care about Foo Fighters but it might be hard to pass up the opportunity to see them from rly close. I mostly just hope I can get to the front for Kacey after Sophie ends.

If what’s listed on the app for food is all that they’ve booked, then maybe they are planning for low turnout. Stoked for spicy pie in December though.

It’s hard to tell because you’d think they’d get a ton of people with how cheap tickets are—but at the same time there seems to be very little social media interest.
The lineup is awesome but mostly very niche, although you’d expect people would pay the $100 for two days just to see a couple of the acts like Anderson Paak or Kacey Musgraves
