Sigur Ros presents LIMINAL - a free ambient soundbath performance by Jonsi, Alex Somers and Paul Corley BST Hyde Park, London tomorrow. Details at sigurros.com/liminal/
Time is 4:30pm EDT, 3:30 Central tomorrow (July 9th)
“The gig is reinvented” - Sunday Times
"If there’s one band qualified to blur the line between meditation and the music world, it’s Sigur Rós” - Vogue
Liminal is Sigur Rós’s ambient music arm. Liminal sound baths are a way of experiencing the music in a live environment where slowing down, focussing on your senses and being present in the moment are the aim. The setting might typically be a gallery space or museum, flooded with haze and dimly lit, but on Tuesday July 9th Liminal is taken outdoors into Hyde Park and opened up to all-comers, in what promises to be the biggest sound bath event to date.
From 7pm, people are encouraged to come along, find a spot on the grass at the Great Oak stage, lie back and soak up the multi-sensory input. For the artists the sound baths "blur the line between live concert, art installation and some kind of happening”.
“Music heals. Sound heals,” says Sigur Rós producer and artist Alex Somers. “Hopefully these shows can move people and they leave in an altered state. Music can offer us these profound experiences in an instant, and so often when you least expect it.”
To get a feel of the project go to the 3 hours of Liminal mixtapes on your chosen streaming service.
Drawing on the entire Sigur Rós catalogue, including new material, Liminal brings together music from the various strands of the band’s career - collaborations, solo work, film score, AI music, commissions, etc - with those of the wider Sigur Rós family (Somers and producer Paul Corley). In doing so it presents a multi-faceted perspective on the whole Sigur Rós creative universe, taking the listener to a place neither here nor there, a liminal space.
"It was hard not to be affected. I began to recall poignant memories of loved ones while purple fractals bloomed inside my eyelids. I exhaled. I cried.” Vogue

I think I’ll leave her below due to legacy but she’s closing the main on her day after him.

lol well, that clears up that. this specific round seems to have just wiped my current board. I feel like I'm overvaluing people just because I have so long between picks, but really I just think that the last drafts order has pretty much gone to the wind and if you want someone you gotta go for it i guess.

Pepe Silvia has owned this draft the way Bernie owned the first night of the dem debate without even being there.

It’s round 12. They were taken in the 13th last draft (and promptly traded for Velvet Underground.

I very much expected them to go before getting back to me, but also thought that way with Roxy, just kind of went with it.

Ya know I didn't want to make many of same picks I did in the last infinity draft, but you all slept on Gil for so damn long I couldn't let him slip further, respect the man
Great moment from my first Roo in 2013: Wu-Tang crowd is getting thiccccc and tons and tons of bros are shoving past a bunch of people in the crowd as they are known to do. The people around me all decided that we weren't allowing anymore through. This guy with his girlfriend on his shoulders makes a strong effort to push through everyone, even saying that this is his and his GFs favorite rap group. Someone from the crowd loudly makes the offer of, "if she can name 3 members of the Wu-Tang Clan we will let you through." Crowd goes silent with anticipation. After 10-15 seconds without being able to name one member, the boyfriend tries to help her out and everyone starts laughing and cheering and they never got through.

but actual answer, Emperor Tomato Ketchup is the only one I’ve actually listened to enough to form a legitimate opinion on. I’ve listened to a couple others but I’d be lying if I said I knew them well enough to rank them.
