Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I feel like the last 3-4 years they're scrambled together the teeniest junk they possibly could, they're running out of options. So 2020 (the last year at Gulf Shores!!!!! right?) can only trend upwards in quality.
Oh, they still haven't booked Post Malone yet.
Billie Eilish is lining up perfectly for next year. Tyler too.
Then a repeat artist and a few EDM spots on the roulette wheel... okay it could still stagnate.
Miley Cyrus | Tame Impala | Billie Eilish | Post Malone | The Chainsmokers
Tyler, the Creator | Janelle Monae | J Balvin | Bassnectar | Lizzo | Juice WRLD
featuring Kanye West Sunday Service on the beach
you're welcome.

Take this for what’s its worth but was recently talking to someone who is somewhat in the loop and before even knowing this person was while we were taking music taste they asked me if i ever went to hangout i brought up every year from 2012 until this current year because of the lineup. They informed me that if i liked past lineups i should like this years because they’re making some changes and that also people involved in Buku will be invoked with hangout. So here’s to hoping for a better lineup and actually being back.

I’m going to have a seven month old son next May but I would pretty much give anything for one last Hangout.

I wonder if they’ll try to book RHCP again since they’ve been in the studio since late 2018. I’d be down for that I just hope they stick to having more of a verify when it comes to headliners.

That would probably be Winter Circle Productions. Winter Circle is fine and books all kinds of shows. Buku's lineup was way better than Hangout's even though it's only roughly 57% of the size (20k vs. 35k). There was some meat on the bones there for a Goldenvoice younger festival:
Shit I would see at Hangout 2019: Travis Scott, Vampire Weekend, Jungle, Cardi, GRiZ, Ella Mai and maybe one or two other acts
Shit I would (did) see at Buku 2019: Lana, Excision, A$AP Rocky, Dog Blood, Kevin Gates, $uicideboy$, Playboi Carti, Fisher, Toro Y Moi, Death Grips, Black Madona, Denzel Curry, Earl Sweatshirt, J.i.D, Earthgang, G. Jones, Liquid Stranger, PapaD, Oliver Tree, Rico Nasty, Sunsquabi, Peekaboo, Yves Tumor, The Black Madonna, etc.
So you could expect more rock/metal, rap and edgier EDM than the wimp shit Hangout's been peddling. But then you read the first paragraph of Douglass's post at the end of the 2019 thread and have to shake your head. I don't live in a police state, and I don't really feel like voluntarily visiting a place where that shit is so commonplace. We aren't going back.

So any rumors? Is this the year we get our real Rock/Jam Band/Reggae back? Or does Goldenvoice finally kill this festival and we are left with SandJam?

Still holding out some hope that they do bring back some good bands especially after that conversation i had a little while back. I still expect pop and hip hop to stay included tho. Honestly with this being Hangout I’m expecting Post Malone as a headliner and I’m one of the few who won’t be mad as long as 2 other headliners are strong he’s not terrible imo. I feel like Arcade Fire is overdue and my dream every year that would get me back is Pearl Jam. Also could see maybe The Black Keys back if no Post Malone and they just played LIB. Maybe even J. cole for a hip hop headliner?
Would like to see any of these on the undercard: Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats, The xx, Schoolboy Q, Kid Cudi, Dermot Kennedy, Two Door Cinema Club, Jaden Smith, Vince Staples, Of Monsters and Men, CHVRCHES, and ASAP Rocky.
Also bring back some of these: the revivalist, flaming lips, dirty heads, moon taxi, and run the Jewels.
A few of those with Black Keys, J.Cole, and Pearl Jam would be awesome!

Not the biggest J. Cole fan, but Black Keys and Pearl Jam would be niceee. Also love Moon Taxi and Revivalists. Nathaniel, OM&M, XX, RTJ, Flaming Lips are solid as well. Give me some Wailers and Trombone Shorty as well.

Yeah man all those would give me some old feels mixed with the better part of the recent years. I like J. cole personally but wouldn’t be mad with black keys Pearl Jam and arcade fire either but i still think there’s atleast one pop it hip hop headliner lol

Congratulations! I would love to enjoy one more Hangout. Maybe even get the jam group together at the pool again.
