Winterfell, despite it having more objective flaws, wins because it didn't incorporate time travel.
Was also genuinely exciting just because nobody knew what was going to happen. We all kinda knew what was going to happen with Endgame as Marvel spoiled it themselves with the marketing and announcements for Far From Home and phase 4 prospective announcements.

This is basically where I’m at. I think for the most part the flaws in Winterfell are cosmetic and fixable. You could have changed the battle in a couple satisfying ways and still have kept the same basic story. You can’t fix time travel.
I also agree expectations had a lot to do with the generally more positive reception of Endgame.

Not even comparable to me, which shouldn't shock anyone.
Agreed with the above. There was zero chance the outcome would be much different than what it ended up being. Plus, I actually care about what happens to the characters in ASOIAF/GOT. I don't really have any emotional investment in MCU characters, although I like the bulk of them just fine.
Marvel does what they do well but their big fight scenes aren't very riveting past the explosions and people being slung into buildings and shit. Which is fine. It's entertaining. I just don't consider it all that great.
Endgame because I got to turn my brain off for three hours instead of 90 minutes.
Really though the answer is Endgame because I think the Russos are a little better at staging big fights than the Thrones folks. I was kind of confused about who was where and doing what at Winterfell. Endgame was much easier to follow even if it is just CGI explosions instead of actual fighting.
Winterfell is probably a bigger achievement though because they did all of that at night in less than two months on a TV budget. Marvel literally prints money and can reshoot as much as they want.
