Really like the 3-day spread. I can only swing one day but this would absolutely be worth a 3-day pass. Saturday it is for me. Hopefully Rise Against and Bloc Party don't conflict.

In for year 2! The lady was super into the ska, emo, early 2000s rock so she always loves these lineups. Plus we’ve compromised and we will leave early for Hot Chip Friday. Last year we stayed with my sister but she has moved back to NYC so I’m looking for decent places to stay that are near the metro preferably. Appreciate any help
What are conflicts typically like for this? Strongly considering Sunday
Part of the reason I didn’t end up going last year was because I was worried about conflicts and I sort of ended up being validated because I had a ton of them; however, in retrospect I still regret it a bit. You can decide for yourself:

I'll probably end up buying. Frankly, I'd probably pay the $50 for Ween playing The Mollusk by themselves, anything else is just gravy. I'm sure I'll be able to see at least some of Raconteurs, Patti Smith, B-52s, Against Me, American Football, and Village People (still need to do some research)
EDIT: It's probably already been covered somewhere in the thread, but didn't this festival used to have rap? What happened there?

They’ve had one day really heavy with rap in the past 7 years I’ve been paying attention(not sure about last year), but the crowds were really hit or miss. Wu-Tang 2014 was the biggest crowd I saw and they played in day light. Nas, Meth and Red, Death Grips, Joey Bada$$ were all small crowds comparable to what I’ve seen at other fests and really small compared to crowds for bands like Sleater-Kinney, The Hives or the Descendants. Booking those bands appeases their crowds more and they are also probably cheaper to book. Probably a smart move on their part to put all of their chips on rock.
Looking at 2017 (2018 was a shitshow from the start lineup-wise), they had the 2 and 3 acts on the day conflicting on Saturday and Sunday. Not to say they'll 100% do that again but that doesn't bode well for me trying to see Rise Against and Bloc Party. I'm not a huge Slayer guy but the headliner seems to be opposed by a 2nd line act each day, so maybe Die Antwoord? I figure there won't be a ton of crossover in fanbase there.I got a bad feeling Rise Against and Bloc Party will be directly conflicting right before Slayer though.

It looks like the schedule for this dropped only a couple days before the fest last year... is that just because they had Blink drop out or is that typical for this fest?
If they always wait to drop it I might just go ahead and buy single day for Sunday now. It's pretty stacked on the top half!
It's usually not that close, but most years the schedule comes out very close to the fest. Once or twice they've released it August, but I wouldn't necessarily count on it.
Gonna shoot for Hot Snakes on Saturday and Avail on Sunday. Not gonna be surprised if I get shut out on Avail though. Those club shows have been selling out quick everywhere.
