They abandoned the Northeast a couple of decades ago but I remember liking their pepperjack quesadillas. Also, I remember them being supercheap, even compared to The Bell.
I didn't have tacos yesterday. But I did make some juice out of 2 carrots, a green apple, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, a lemon, a half of bulb & stalk of fennel and a couple of kale leaves. I left out the beets, cucumber and ginger in this one which tasted a little more berry and was sort of brownish instead of dark purple or neon green.
Taco Cabana is the shit. Every time I go to Texas I eat there. Waffle fries rule, 5 guys fries are great as long as they don't close the paper bag and I love me some McD's fries. I think I am caught up now.
My experience with a juicer. Twenty oranges later with pulp on the ceiling and all over the kitchen, I had a 1/2 glass of orange juice. F that.
maybe I did something wrong
LOL. We have the centrifugal one which has a cover
Thing is, and what I have is more of a mixed vegetable and fruit juicer, if you don't have it for a day or two you can feel that it's missing. I wouldn't have believed that. So far, none of it tastes super great (okay enough), but I've been more dealing with what we have in house rather than following either of my cookbooks. They have all kinds of refreshing shit like melon lemon and whatever. But we're more doing the ultra-health.

Is this a good thread to talk about coffee recommendations? I'm heading to NYC this weekend and am looking for the best coffee roasters in Manhattan. I probably won't venture out to the other boroughs.

What's the second-best use for plain, regular-sized Fritos?
Don’t y’all mike chilly pah sometimes? I like them plain by the handful.
Went over to my daughter’s to make some fruit juice for her. It was halos, lemons, apples, blueberries, blackberries, black grapes and mango. It was good. For me, I made VX vegetable juice with 7 carrots, 3 purple beets, cilantro, parsley, 5 stalks of celery, 2 kale leaves, a bunch of baby spinach, artisan purple romaine, 2 gala apples, 1 Granny Smith apple, 1 1/2 lemons, fennel, lots of ginger and a finish of about 15 blackberries. It was dark purple and relatively sweet considering the ingredients. Homemade vegetable juice is crack as I’ve found out the last month. If you don’t get it for a few days it’s like if you work out and miss a couple weeks because you sprained your ankle or elbow and didn’t feel like doing shit and you feel run down and lacking energy.
Yeah, I eat chili with Fritos (frito pie). I'm asking if there's any other use for them.
By the handful. I like bbq (the old school ones) best and ate 2 bags a day for lunch my sophomore year in HS. I’ve seen people crumble them on taco bake and shit like that, but I think for most applications, Fritos are kind of a greasy alternative to fried corn tortillas. Obviously they can be a crunch element in anything, but they carry a lot of salt and grease which has to be taken into consideration.

Had my first experience with Waffle House. Got the sausage egg and cheese melt, a biscuit with gravy, and hash browns smothered, covered, peppered and capped (onions, cheese, jalapenos, mushrooms). The hash browns were the highlight. The jalapenos were roasted, which brings out their flavor best imo, and that cheese is so good and holds everything together.

Their hash brows are about the only thing I like there. Will you also be reviewing IHOP, Denny's, Shoney's and Chilli's?
Nothing much to report here. I have some store bought Rouse’s fried chicken which when it’s on is great. You can usually tell if the pieces are crispy and not overly heavy. Then I bought a few crawfish boiled corn on the cobs from them which I’ll have with chicken. I did actually get over to DiMartino’s in Marrero or Westwego for a roast beef po-boy for lunch (dressed no mayo).
I’m going to a crawfish boil on Sunday so that should be good. That’s a lot of our festival people. So we will be throwing it down. For now, I’m wishing that Ultra actually had people on I wanted to watch. We are going out late to the Never Say Die show with Trollphace and LAXX. So you’d like to stay in the mood. But big room and pop doesn’t get it. Morello was the only thing I watched today. It was militant so I appreciated that. Won’t be home for the Dog Blood show (just saw it) or Carl Cox which are the other shows I’d watch. Hopefully there is better shit tomorrow or Sunday
I'm going to Virginia through Roo so I guess crawfish season is mostly over for me already.
I'm sure you can get it in VA (I'm not sure) but it probably isn't the same.
Heading to the mountains or coast? Work? I’ve driven through but that’s it. I did find Lolla Chile on andir will be on tomorrow at 2. Schedule though is unknown. Lenny is actually kicking a little ass

Coast. Norfolk. I'm gonna work while I'm there but mostly just wanted a change of scenery for a little bit.

Also cool on Norfolk. You can get to a lot of places from there on relatively easy road trips. Besides all the local shit (Newport News, VA Beach) DC is only about 3ish hours and Philly 5. So you have Baltimore, Dover and all those cities within reach. You’re also literally almost at the Outer Banks. Make sure you drive some of that while you’re there. Duck , Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Cape Hatteras and Kitty Hawk are all great, and I don’t remember getting to the auto ferries to like Okracoke and shit until south of Kitty Hawk. Great Beach towns and often the ocean is like behind a 1/4 mile of dunes. I hadn’t been back there since like 1990 but it’s kind of incredible. Thing is you’ll never be that close to that part of the country which is real isolated. We go to NC periodically, but the west side Smokys part. That’s already 12 hours from here and I’m thinking 17 hours from you. It’s another 8 hours to the Outer Banks vs like 40 minutes.

As a teenager I used to eat at Waffle House at 2:00 AM with a friend all the time. We even met two up and coming WCW tag team wrestlers there one night, however, they never quite hit it big and I don't remember their names. They had arms like tree trunks though.
Fast forward 10 years, I ate at Waffle House for the first time in a decade and got a mouthful of sour milk.
I've never eaten at Waffle House. I've heard way too many horror stories.
Also, I'm also not a big breakfast fan. I will eat it for brinner, but I gotta be in the right mood.
Thirdly, I love me some good hash browns. Browned just the right amount... (Prefer them mixed with chorizo and eggs for dinner on a brinner-breakfast burrito with sour cream, hot sauce, salsa, lettuce & tomato, but who's being picky)?
