I didn’t realize it was streaming live and I couldn’t just start from the beginning. So I came in when Beasties were on and then I’m just gonna have to immediately start it over. Oh darn.
Thought they did a good job hitting what a big deal culturally Tupac was.
Overall feel this was done very well. Doesn’t feel overly sentimental or like they are stroking their egos too much. There’s obviously a little given the scale of their work but it didn’t annoy me. Super cool doc

Thought this was very well-done and was a good length. Obviously avoided some of the negative things (Drake in 2015, under-attended rock headliners in the 2010's, the 2010 gate crashers), but touched on the necessary moments and topics. I did not know that tidbit about the Pearl Jam show that paved the way for Coachella. Makes their absence over the years even more mysterious.

Some of these explanations for how sets came about, Prince, Sunday Service, Madonna, are pretty funny cause they’re so obviously bullshit and trying not to make any artists/agents mad.
Well done overall but have no idea why they wasted all that time on the underwhelming and forgettable Sunday Service bit when they could have done a more in-depth segment on the art installations.

I really loved it. The RATM physically hurt knowing how close I came to seeing them a week from today. Daft Punk as the genesis of modern electronic music was super cool too.
Pablo is hosting a tremendous stream! But if You're looking for just Coachella stuff, for as long as it stays up I'm gonna host a stream. Only posting it here

I missed the Sunday Service part since I'm working but I know that was the same explanation he gave for Prince though it does kinda sidestep the health issues he had during that time. For Madonna, I heard she approached Coachella and wanted to play the dance tent because she wanted to play her Confessions On A Dance Floor material in a more dancey-environment.

Yeah, he had that hip surgery the year before but of course nobody is gonna mention that in the movie.
I would say maybe a tangent with the reunion part was the booking of “legends” per say and how mixing that in with new acts so the kids could see the connections . So McCartney, Roger Waters, Leonard Cohen, Steely Dan, Willie Nelson etc. that wouldve been a cool part to have had 5 solid minutes on.

Will take requests.
List of sets:[MO]
I would request all the 2019 as downloadable, but thats just me. 🤷🏻♂️👨🏻💻
I wish they would just play full songs from a bunch of legendary sets.
IIRC isn’t the first Coachella documentary from like ten years ago basically this?
Pretty much. Except the big difference is that the theatrical cut of the old movie had The Prodigy on it. The dvd and bonus disc does not have it.
I think that wouldve been nice to have touched on also. With the rise of edm the “live” aspect of it with the prodigy and soulwax who make dance music with a band.

The bit about the lower lines driving Coachella really makes me think that 2019 will go down as one of the best line ups in history based on lines 3 and below who have blown up since.
Sorry KCT didn't see that request till now. Playing Odesza till 9, then Gesaffelstein, then the 2014 AXS Friday overnight. Message me in the twitch tomorrow for a request! (Sorry I didn't mention that earlier)
Just finished the documentary. I wish it was at least an hour longer, with some focus on the art aspect.
I also wish we had a full weekend of old festival sets posted on Youtube. I would call out of double time at work on Sunday to watch nothing but official Coachella sets.
